NEW Brother Entrepreneur One PR1X compared to the Persona PRS100

Will the hoops for the PRS100 work with the PR1X? I have 2 complete sets, including the magnetic hoops.8 x 8, 5 x 7 & 4 x 4. I'm considering purchasing the PR1X.

Is the Entrepreneur One PR1X wireless? I did a live chat with Brother today and the representative had NO information on the new machines. How disappointing.

you act as if you can't use usb, LOL. wireless for what? you can't search the web or listen to music on it. these people add wireless to these machines for less than 10 bucks and then people will pay a grand more for it.

You can use the 8x8 and the 4x4. The compact frames do not fit well. They are skewed. For the compact frames they should pick up the monogram kit

it has a larger hoop and the software is slightly different. Like going from Windows 10 to Windows 11. They both do the same things at the same speed basically. this machine is overpriced and so is the cap driver. it is a nice and easy-to-use machine but there is no need to buy it over the PRS100.@@lindalee945

@@lindalee945 there is none. it is the exact same machine. at least 98 percent the same.

The size doesn’t matter cause it’s easy to print one side, then print additional parts. Price comparison? Persona is $3999 and the PR1X is ? A LOT MORE, knowing Brother. And so, they added in a few extra designs and fonts, whatever. I never buy a machine based on that because I, like most users, don’t use most of the ones they give you. Since I can get what I want online, who cares what’s on the machine? It just wastes space. Are these the only big differences? Just shows how Brother saw how popular the Persona is and said, we need to up our profit margin so the best way is to put out a “new” machine. They couldn’t rely on planned obsolescence (which is the central way they increase profits) so the next method is the “new” machine. Based on this description, there’s no additional feature that makes this worth the money. Did you leave something out or is that all there is?

Sorry but you are wrong. Some of us only have the PR machines because we wanted the things the multi needle machines give us. WE ARE NOT A BUSINESS!!! I feel that Brother shouldn’t limit us who are not a business.

For this money you can buy a very nice multi-needle machine. Anyone that buys this is not very intelligent.

John, you may be comparing our brand new Brother PR1X single needle at $7000 to a used 6 needle PR without any parts and labor warranty for 2 years, or without electronic parts warranty for 6 years. A brand new updated PR680W by comparison would cost $11,000 online or in stores. John Douthat, owner tech

@@johnm.douthat1702 it does not have to be new. this thing is not an upgrade. if you have a prs100 and go out and buy the pr1x as an upgrade you have to be as dumb as a box of rocks.
