I'm 63 year old African American ARMY. I found BTS approximately one week after debut. So I've been with them since June 2013. Their growth is indeed amazing. Their original message about young people following their dreams really connected with me because I am a High School teacher and I've been trying to get my students to do the same.

I'm a 58 year old Army in the UK. I found them in 2017. When people say BTS changed their life, they are not being over the top. It's actually true. I found them at a time when I was "falling off a cliff" with my mental and emotional health. They've certainly changed my life and taught me how to love myself and how to keep moving forward in a positive way, no matter what. They say BTS find you when you need them and it's definitely true. 💜

99% of Army follow BTS’ messages of love and kindness. Sadly, the 1% who don’t can be loud. But that is how it always is with anything. The good aren’t loud and obnoxious. They aren’t attention seekers. They don’t want to cause disunity and negativity. However, we do try and respond to such things with positivity. I never argue, I never respond to negativity on social media. I keep my timelines clean of hatred. If you watch an artist I know I don’t like, I will simply not watch that video. If I do watch one that I see I’m not a fan of, I will not state that anywhere in the comment. I will simply move on to the videos I know I will enjoy. No need to drag down anyone else to make the artists I love higher. They can reach their highest on their own merits. Please ignore or block the negative comments. Engaging will just keep it going. Some people live for that kind of social media frenzy. For every negative comment, we should leave two positive comments. We want you to feel comfortable, so whatever setup works best for you is good for me. 💜 Singularity is an amazing song I know you will enjoy. V (Taehyung) has such a beautiful voice. The song in the credits is called Home and I think you will really like it. It is a BTS group song. They performed it for Jimmy Fallon’s show and on award shows. There isn’t a MV for it but there are those live performances. I want to list so many recommendations but I am trying to edit myself. Lol. Our hearts speak through our mouths when we feel passionately about something. Or in the case of KZbin, our fingers. 😂

Didn’t fall for them until the live stage of Dynamite. Any artist can sound good in the studio or appear good in a music video but few can be even better live but that’s who BTS is. They bring such good energy to their performances - as well as delivering top notch vocals, sharp hard hitting choreography and are so professional in every aspect. Plus they are such fun guys - they bring joy to my life on a daily basis

@Tov1n, I was there in 2013 even before they debuted when they used to do Vlogs on KZbin and talk about their expectations for their debut how they were excited to debut and how they were worried and they talked about different things on their blogs each individual member of BTS as well as a group. RM is a literal genius he is in the top 1.3% of his class when he was in high school and he is known to be a genius of a IQ of 148 , 12 points less than Albert Einstein. The The fact that he is a genius he is a very literature background he is extremely poetic and he reads a lot of books and recommends his books to many of us fans and he loves art when he has donated significant a lot of money to a lot of museums and he is quite the nature boy he would prefer to ride his bike in a park then go in a trip somewhere for example Cancun! Lol! Even though they had humble beginnings they still worked extremely hard and that is why I like them because they prove that they could make it that there was no other way either to make it or to fail and they would practice 12 to 15 hours in the practice room learning their choreography. They have a positive message in their music they have three albums of the . “Love Yourself series 1.HER, 2. TEAR 3. Answer, Which the three proceeds and purchases from these albums go to the UNICEF to end violence against children and young people all over the world which BTS are ambassadors of. Even RM spoke at the United Nations all in English about the love myself campaign. No that might not seem very much to you but today’s artist both in the United States and all over the world do not concentrate on philanthropy as much as BTS does their donations are both as a group from their company as well as individually they donate so I don’t know if you got all of the message because you kind of skipped over a few things so I thought maybe this would help you know that they are humble famous extremely famous and talented artist that don’t get recognition because they are South Korean and they can’t get their music played on the United States radio because it’s not all in English. They did break some records yes including the United States billboard records and there were songs that were in English and they also could’ve won Grammys which they should have but we know how the Grammys are it’s all about payoffs bribery etc. In this documentary it is not totally up-to-date so the 700 awards that they have one is over 1200 now! BTS have their own solo albums that they had released before going into the military. A tailor does not explain the military service so I will, each able body South Korean man must attend 18 to 21 months of some type of military service between the ages of 18 and 28. But BTS who The Korean government were debating on whether they should be exempt from military since they bring in $5 billion annually to the South Korean economy. So before they could make the decision and argue they decided to all go into the military. The reason for mandatory military service it’s because of North Korea there’s separation between the 38th parallel line which was put in by the United Nations and general Douglas MacArthur and it was used to separate the two countries back in 1947 The United States and South Korea are allies South Korea is more of a democracy North Korea is more of a dictator ship and communism type of government. One thing I can tell you is that K-pop is a big commodity all over the world now BTS are known to have pave the way they made the road smoother for the generations behind them to come BTS is considered third generation so there were generations before BTS but they could not get their foot in the door of American music market like BTS have. you have your K dramas on Netflix, K beauty skin care products and make up and KPOP music many people have visited South Korea and the K-pop industry is very popular in the United States there are concerts that have been sold out not just only by BTS but other K-pop groups because BTS paved the way and made it much more easier and smoother for the third fourth and fifth generation to come to play on United States soil. I myself have loved K-pop since the second generation and I stand many different K-pop groups but BTS is my ultimate group and I will continue to stand them till the day I die! So I hope as you go on this little BTS journey that you will continue doing their music and get to know who they are not only as musical artists but as human beings because they are some damn good human beings!😊💜👍

We have redefined parasocial relationships. They give more to fans with open content sharing themselves being chaotic dorks and struggling but all fun and success than any other artists I’ve seen. Army is ridiculously protective because for many finding them saved or helped at the darkest parts of our lives. But I’ve seen Army (gently) bull the personal chef cooking for them in Las Vegas online for ex “Jin is allergic to garlic and Suga needs oranges and Tae can’t eat spicy food”. We are a ridiculous fandom but I love us and BTS only encourages us. Jungkook did infamous lives of over 3 hours singing watching movies and 15 million people watched him just fall asleep for about 30 mins. Each of the seven is integral important and talented in a unique way.

Yup, the age span of ARMY is amazing. From little kids up to 96 (that's the highest age I've seen, but could be higher). Their music is relatable for all ages. Thanks for watching this guide. I know it's a long one, but you seemed to get a lot out of it. Personally I think the loyalty and longevity of ARMY has a lot to do with how BTS has always made the fans their highest priority. They have always been transparent, always shared their daily lives with us, always been truthful. Even when they have had to say 'there are things we can't tell you right now, but please trust us'. ARMY always will.

I know a lot of ARMY's that have been there since 2013 and 2014. They didn't blow up, it took them a few years to start getting recoginition in South Korea. They really became successful in South Korea in 2016, and in America in 2017/2018. They were Globally successful by then. 2020 was when they really became Globally successful, and in the USA. During the pandemic, they released some English songs and that seems to have spread their success more in the USA. I'm a 58 year old ARMY since 2020, and my neice is a BTS ARMY since 2014. There are a lot of South Korean ARMY's that travel around the Globe to see BTS perform. As do a lot of ARMY's from different countries. ARMY's tend to help the economy in whatever city BTS plays. They do Sold Out Global Stadium tours at this point in their careers. I've seen them twice in concert, and they are the best performers I have ever seen, in my lifetime. Also, BTS made it a "thing" to connect personally with their fans, and in South Korea, that wasn't a "thing" when they debuted. Once BTS became Globally successful, other K-Pop groups started doing the same thing with their fans. So now it's common for K-Pop groups to do it also, even though none of them have gotten the same effect as BTS and ARMY. Because that alone is not why BTS is so successful. ARMY's are mostly kind and thoughtful, and they really do a lot of good in the world, and they are doing a lot of philanthropy, and are very well behaved. The small percentage that are toxic don't represent the whole. Also, you need to know that there are haters that actively spread hate and try to take down BTS and make ARMY look bad. I'm not kidding, there are people that actively try to take down ARMY and BTS. ARMY's are mostly nice people and spread BTS's message. And they are online to watch BTS content, to stream, vote, and connect with other ARMY's. And there are a lot of ARMY charity projects and other projects, that are run by ARMY's.

Thank you for taking the suggestion to watch this! Just some comments and random facts: --Bang SiHyuk stepped down as CEO of Hybe to stay as head of Big Hit Music --he's still Chairman of Hybe, but his day to day work is effectively managing and producing for BTS and TxT. --I didn't come into Army until 2022, but have been total immersion ever since. No fanatic like a convert, as they say. --Run BTS has been around for a long time--way before lockdown. Now that Jin is out of the military he's filming Run Jin episodes and the first one will drop next week. --RM writes for the group, for his own projects, and for collaborations with other artists. I haven't heard that he writes songs for other folks to sing on their own, though. The reason the rappers have so many song credits is because they also get credit for writing their own verses in any song with rap included. --Suga's name (Yoongi) name means "shine" in Korean, that's why he had the rap name "Gloss" earlier. --JHope has no bones, ARMY figured that out ages ago. He made a documentary series on street dancing (Hope on the Street) that's on Amazon Prime Video, and also released an album of the same name to support the dancing in it. --JHope has expanded his music outside the bright and cheerful vibe in this video--his Jack in the Box album hits quite different. --Jin isn't exaggerating much--he really was street-cast for his looks. Even in the latest documentary about their history, Bang SiHyuk can only marvel at his handsomeness and underline that they added Jin to the group as a visual to sweep in fans. Jin started out really shy--there's an early video of him in a bus or shuttle, with people telling him how handsome he is, and he turns and hides his face in his manager's shoulder. --Reminder that Koreans count age differently--you are one at birth, and gain a year on New Year's Day. So for example, V was born on December 30th, 1995, and became age 2 two days later on January 1st 1996. While the country has adopted international age for official tracking, most folks still use the old system. For example, Jin was born in 1992, but has been saying all year that he's 33 now. --In Jungkook's case, he auditioned in summer of 2011 (as did Jin and V) at age 13 in international age, was 14 when he moved into the dorms for training, and they debuted 3 months before he turned 16. --BTS used to participate in the Idol Olympics--swept the relay races 3 years in a row with Jungkook as final runner. There's also cool video of them doing archery and Korean wrestling. --JK does an amazing version of Harry Styles' Falling. --Yes, you will love V's solo Singularity. totally sounds like baby-making R&B, until you listen to the lyrics RM wrote for him. Check out the live performances too, though it's hard to hear him through the audience screaming. --Jimin's song was in the Eternals, but really only one line of it. --A note on Jimin's voice: Jimin has a lot of lower-register songs early on, but there's a preference for higher-pitched vocals in Kpop, so he moved up into counter-tenor territory later. He mentioned in his MiniMoni discussion with RM that he started taking singing lessons--going back to the basics to rebuild his voice since what he was doing was not going to be sustainable in the long run. People say that they can hear the difference in the new album "Muse"--that his voice is stronger. --Not sure, but think that when the guys started up with their "official" solo activity that their work on SoundCloud was brought back under the Hybe label. Can anyone comment on that? --Jimin's Lie is so beautiful!! --Jimin does all the flips and acrobatics as a legacy of his martial arts training--not only was he a top contemporary dancer at the Busan High School for the Arts, but he studied Japanese sword for 8 years, has a black belt in Taekwondo, and dabbled in hapkido and some Chinese martial arts also. Don't be fooled by his soft image--the man can hand you your ass on a plate. (edited to point out that he probably wouldn't want to--he'd prefer to hug it out, whatever the issues are). --There's a long, sad history of Jimin's seeming inability to stay in a chair without falling out of it. --RM is amazing, right? Our leader! --There are a ton of what we call Silver ARMY--I'm 72 myself. You'll see a lot of us in the comments because we have the time to watch things over again with you and to comment (often far too extensively--sorry). --In case you are curious, Korea has better privacy rules than the US, so people who haven't given their permission to be included get their faces obscured. So all the managers and stylists working with them have their faces fuzzy, and aren't named. They will also obscure brand names on products, unless they are specifically sponsors. --VLive got closed, and the contents merged into Weverse or are available on KZbin. --Glad that you liked it! Makes us feel less guilty for nagging about it.... --I like this new format where it's easy to see what is in the video, but you are large enough that we can watch your face respond to what you are seeing.

to answer your question, I’m one who has been a fan since their debut! I found kpop around 2010 and was into a lot of groups. I was always looking into new groups debuting as well, which naturally made me discover them. Especially because I liked a girl group from Big Hit called GLAM (they disbanded quite soon tho), so it made me interested in seeing their new boy group. wasn’t a superfan at first but they definitely had me intrigued and at the end of 2013/start of 2014 (?) I was DEEEEP into it and started calling myself army 😭 It’s been quite the journey to still be with them today. I’m used to how big they are now, but it was insane when their popularity skyrocketed from 2015/2016 and onwards. And like I went from being a teenager to now almost pushing my 30s along with them lol They went from being my own little niche favorite music group (nobody even knew of korean music where I’m from back then) to suddenly becoming global and seeing their faces/hearing their music outside of my own bedroom. even hearing people at school talking about them, which was crazy to me. It was hard to believe at the time and ngl I was trying to gatekeep at first lmaooo😭😭😭

I respect you are here for the music and will not be getting to their content outside of the music. For me, I can’t separate music from the artist. To me, the best music comes from the soul of the artist. To know the music is to know the artist and vice versa. Honestly, someone could be the best singer in the world, but if they have a crappy personality or aren’t good people, then I will not listen to their music. So, I will always research the artist and find out what kind of people they are for myself. I don’t listen to social media and the biased comments. I find out for myself. I did that with BTS and fell in love with them as good people as well as talented artists. Not everyone is like me though and I respect each persons musical journey. I can offer that live performances will always be a good option if you are here for a musical journey. As good as they are recorded, their live performances send it to another level. Honestly, the best I have ever heard Jungkook (JK) sing is when he just sings karaoke on his Weverse lives. He is just sitting there singing his heart out for Army in his own home in recent times. Yoongi (SUGA) has played guitar on lives before and even a couple times sang along too. Keep having fun on your journey. That is the most important part of it all. Borahae!
@Tovinn4 ай бұрын
For me with music I think in a similar way, I like to dive into artists a little bit to see if they're even worth giving my streams, and that's why I checked out this guide. I do separate music from artists sometimes, but the reason I said I won't check those things out was because I didn't want to react to that type of content on the channel, especially because there's so much music that this group has. And I want to check other artists' music aswell. But that being said if you have any recommendations for things non music related, pertaining to the members, I'll definitely check them out, it just won't be a reaction on the channel.

And the fact that V didn't even go to audition he just went to support his friend and was picked by the company is incredible in itself. And I'm so glad they picked him because he has that beautiful baritone voice they can go so high as well. I really like the bond that they have as a group. Hi 👋 😊 ive been an Army since predebut 2013! Honestly it was a long journey fighting for bts since the beginning because haters hated on them from all angles (including death threats) , other kpop fandoms would team up to harrass bts and army and to vote against bts. It was intense and depressing because we were a small fandom . Because bts was from a small close to bankrupt company us army used our own money to advertise for them and to spread their name eventually but slower they grew , even though most of the west was and still is xenophobic 😢 . Im proud of how far we came together even if we still have to fight for equality

Off the bat, your pronunciations of their names are ON POINT. Secondly just remember that kpop is not a genre of music really but more of a description of the industry. Kpop can be rap, EDM, ballads, pop, latin pop, R&B, a mix of all of these. It can really be any genre and I think that's the misconception that Westerners have about Kpop. When they think boy/girl groups, they think of Backstreet Boys, NSync, One Direction, etc and the one dimensional boy band sound. NOT the case in Kpop.

But then I read an interview with Suga who was asked about this exact point and he said something like: "You discover BTS when you need us. That's the day we debuted just for you." Brought a tear to my eye, and my love and respect for these guys has only grown.

I’ve been a huge fan since 2019. I initially saw 2 videos of Black Pink but BTS became my favorite band. At those times I was paying more attention to KZbin due to covid because I had time to, but it was that moment where BTS found me when I needed them is what I like to say. They are my source of laughs, comfort, and influence of staying humble and appreciating life more.

i understand not wanting to react to non music stuff and tbh majority of bts non music stuff gets blocked on youtube like their tv shows, concert dvds, official documentaries etc theres some stuff that doesnt get blocked like their vlogs, behind the scenes videos also called bangtan bombs (which are short/shorter videos some very random some with a point like bts fighting over ice cream or bts talking about writing lyrics with each other in a waiting room) then theres the longer ones called bts episodes so for example most recent is the behind episode of jimins live performance from his recent solo album. then theres other random playlists of different contents etc but really the guides/videos essays recs and explained video recs are all to truly understand bts the same exact way this one helped i saw someone else say they found it all on their own which maybe they did but ive always seen armys link these videos to each other normally especially for baby armys or we would talk about these topics explaining it to them so its really the same thing youd just be reacting to it on your channel but you dont even have to react to it just at least watch them to understand or if its specifically about this channel you can make a patreon or another channel for other non music contents too etc theres others on their hardships others on how the american music industry and american media lie about kpop to the masses using harmful stereotypes about Asians like calling them robotic etc which is very very important to learn and understand so youre not skeptical of everyone even if its not conscious or on purpose like ive seen so many people be literally told that bang pd bighit ceo former ceo of hybe etc gave bts full control and creative freedom and they make a face like "yeah ok suree" but that reaction is due to hearing lies for years in our media. it overall ties together with something called techno orientalism which is like the movies that are set in the middle east always have a yellow or orange color grade or asian characters in movies and tv shows even cartoons always are the "nerds" or "smart" character almost always a side character etc all of these things form how asians in general are treated and spoken about in all spaces, forms of art etc while its getting better we as non asians and especially people living in the west need to identify those things and be able to change that because even tho we think we dont have that bias we do in one way or another. like people throw around the words manufactured and robotic and plastic etc when talking about bts and kpop in general and its very wrong but normalized. the hardships one is so important because it doesnt touch on dumb fanwars of "my group is better than yours" type arguments which of course happen but it literally shows their struggles and how it impacted their mental and physical health and how they got through it with music. its like the music is the main plot of the movie but youre missing the prequels which would be prior to debut as well as mini prequels before each album/song was released if that makes sense. so for example you watched no more dream the prequel of that would be to know about korean school system because it seems so surface level when you first see the song or the lyrics but when you realize the context of how strict the school system is and how brave it is to write a song about it as your first song as a group its very very groundbreaking. or mic drop the prequel of that would be to know how korean media, labels, other idols etc treated bts before mic drop release. then the "don't need to see you anymore this is the last farewell dont got no words left dont even apologize" makes more sense or rather it would hit harder after knowing what caused them to write those lyrics. i think thats why so many are a little pushy i hope you dont see me as pushy im just trying to explain some armys thought process they do mean well because so many people believe lies about bts or twist reality or make up things. it would be different had bts never came out and spoke on these things with fans in concerts, interviews, lyrics, their book etc but they do and thats why armys push for the truth to be spread because too many are hellbent on making the truth hidden. in korea for example all top media hides bts success there were like ted talks and everything of people in korea discussing how media hides bts from korean public and how in the west they do the same thing by painting them as a controlled pop boyband many then dont even attempt to listen etc theres these two producers who one literally produced jungkooks song My Time his name is Sleep Deez and hes showing his friend Varnell bts music and Varnell said why did i not know this why is the hip hop community not being shown this he was flabbergasted and Sleep says this is what army been trying to tell you. like theres a sinister reason why american media and industry is 1 not showing the masses songs like spring day or n.o or baepsae etc 2 theres a huge reason why they keep pushing the dark side of kpop and never reporting on the progress and its to limit americans/western people from seeing artists who can be named in the same sentence as any of the greats. heres some of those links as well again even if you watch all of this on your own and just talk to us about it after thats fine or if you wanna make another channel for reactions to non music stuff either way but its so important to everything. bts is more than just music theyre a movement theyre showing global artists they dont need to lower themselves to white american standards and they dont need to lose artistic freedom to their own music markets in whatever countries theyre in if they get internet virality they can go farther and the industries dont like that its possible. bbygangmags videos he has so many on different topics about bts and some not even about bts boracity magazine amazing video essays rotten mango true crime focused but her korean episodes help with learning about korean culture and society dkdktv their explained videos bookish theories her explained videos xceleste many of her introduction type videos dr jiyoung lee ted talks on bts theres 2 one about bts and army fighting prejudice and another about bts in general on the channel k doc Top Korean Political Commentator with Kim Young Dae on BTS Eng Sub what you still dont know about bts spring day by italian army this one is so important also theres muish ramblings site and doolsetbangtan site both help with proper lyric translations especially for the songs without music videos. Sleep and Varnell talking about it from 48 : 07 mark his channel is called Sleep Deez its on his video called Indigo | Act I theres probably more im forgetting but like i said if you wanna watch it all by yourself you have every right to do that but please still watch it so you understand i swear youll come back to this comment in like a year after youve been a army and youll understand why some were being pushy even if it is annoying. anyways hope youre having a good day/week and you enjoy bts and any other group or artists music. i know youre prob tired of my long comment but wanted to suggest some artists : epik high hip hop group lee hi soloist (love her song holo) bibi soloist such a great artist breaking so many barriers in korean music mamamoo such a unique and underrated group dare i say the best female vocalists in kpop jessi shes such an amazing artist she also breaks barriers but shes another level shes korean american tiger jk literally named the godfather of korean hip hop and for great reason yoon mi rae shes tiger's wife and named the queen of korean hip hop again the titles are well deserved psy you probably know him as the guy who made gangnam style but his discography is so good he talks about a lot of things in his music even tho it sounds so fun like gangnam style was a commentary song similar to Beverly hills by weezer colde amazing amazing artist dean id say one of the best korean r&b artists CL such a queen some of these artists im not too familiar with them deeply so i cant even express how great they are SE SO NEON and soyoon shes the lead singer of this band both her solo music and the bands music just so so good the rose xdinary heroes txt

Suga plays Piano first since an early age and even has a song about his love/hate relationship with his old brown piano and he's also learnt to play Guitar and has played both on stage with the band on his solo tour. Jin has also played Piano and Guitar on stage while singing with the other 3 vocalists. We heard V play Saxophone and RM play Saxophone and Piano we've heard Jimin play Piano and Jungkook play Guitar and even heard him play Drums on stage.

I have sat and heard so many new reactors to BTS complain about request coming in from their viewers about checking this out. Thank you for not putting this off like so many do. It's so sad how they perceive 40 minutes to be a lifetime. " knowing about them is not going to change my opinions about their songs " AND THEIR RIGHT TO A DEGREE, If you like or don't like a song, knowing more about the artists is not going to change your mind. But for a one time investment of 40 minutes, you will now be informed about these artists ,because? You are going to come across them again, in articles, in social conversations. This way you're informed properly about them and what they stand for and accomplished. It's always ignorance of how they really are that keeps people talking smack about them. They are just young men who all have more than JUST one thing in common with us. Although music is their #1 love. Because they are from a culture not well-known, you should see some of the genuinely surprised faces while watching this. They are still stereo typed as nothing like us, in people's minds. It's sad really. Again many heart felt thanks for sharing this reaction not only with those of us who know them ,but also any of your viewers who do not. Best wishes to you always ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤🎉😊

New subscriber. Your voice is so calming. Im glad you're looking into bts. They are very amazing, comforting, and inspiring. Its very true about fans. There are a lot of reactors that make comments about putting off looking into bts because of the bad name that the fan base has gotten, but as with any artist or even sports any celebrity, you'll have the good side and the bad side of their fandoms. You will also have fans that are very nice but are so passionate they over correct or point out things or not listen to the whole video before they comment so they dont see when their comment no longer applies, bit that happens with people in general. Army just gets a bad name and Ive learned throughout the few years Ive gotten into them that their passion for the band is valid just can sometimes come off rough and off putting. I think bts also gets put off because so many people bring them up or they were popular and so many reactors can come off like theyre just doing it to shut people up but then realizing as they get into more of their music that they actually like them. Thats one of my favorite things is seeing people when they realize they actually like their music and that they arent just a korean pop boy band. So its nice when you have reactors that willl have an open mind and also see not only that bts are worth listening to, but that their fans are actually pretty incredible. The dark side of the Fandom though is exactly what you mean how there can be these people putting into action and also helping promote self love and world love, but it gets over shadowed by those just being rude on the internet. I have never understood how some of the nicest people that promote the best things, that obviously are beautiful inside and out and love and accept people as well as trying to make their fan love themselves, can have such rude and awful fans. Whether its solo stans or the group stans. I see both and it amazes me they are okay saying and doing the things they are on behalf of the group or member they love and think think the members would actually appove of that if they knew. Your energy is very calming and i think that will attract the right crowd. I do hope that you dont get discouraged at any time. You react to what you want and who you want. But i do hope that whatver you listen to will be for you and not just for your viewers even if you get some that drop out over diff groups. [This was also in response to your post] I hope you have a wonderful day :)

Then 2018-2019 BTS bacame a thing here in my country half of people were LOVING them like crazy and the other half was hating them for looking like "girls" Actually, I needed to see why people here hated them for the looks. You REALLY should do reactions to guides for different groups that you like as well. Why? Because the reason why Kpop is so unique and different from the western music industry is the relationship between the fans and the groups/idols. Some of it may be fake and staged but a lot of fans get to know these idols REALLY well. They'll be able to tell who the person is by their voice, by their laugh, by the way somebody sneezes. They know all the group's inside jokes, they know their favorite idols favorite foods, colors, personalities. So getting to know their names is a part of getting into the kpop fandom. Westerners and Americans just listen to their music, watch their MVs, and follow them on their IG, but the Kpop industry really shows off their idols through variety shows, group comebacks, fan meets, Weverse/V-lives, IG lives, etc. It's a really immersive experience that's different from anything else in the music industry. So don't just listen to their music but get to know their names. Trust me, you'll also get more of the inside jokes in the comments from your viewers as well.

I absolutely love Tayor and her summary (I say an similar summary which wa actually longer, but it was strongly based on this,, and, while it had extra clips in it, which were entertaining, I did not think it added an awful lot of value - and it gave no credit to Taylor either) You asked if many ARMY have been there since the beginning : of course not all, but I suspect that there are more than you might think. I am 69yo woman in the UK, and there are few ARMY near me, but even I know several ARMY who were there from the start. And I know ARMYs from Cornwall to the Shetland Isles, which is the length and breadth of Britain! Some other thoughts, and answers to your questions.... RM is the leader, but this has a specific meaning in Kpop - it has more to do with liaison between company and members and carries a lot of responsibility. In may Kpop groups the leader will be the oldest (since in Asia this endows authority) but RM is exactly in the middle. The members deeply respect him but we also see them back him up and support him RM is an intellectual, and his music is full of ideas and is very thoughtful - but it retains enormous warmth and kindness. JK left home to in as a trainee at 13yo - they literally did bring him up. We also hear that in many kpop groups - where competition is intense and companies may exploit it in the wrong ways - there can be ill feeling and bullying (which is big thing in Korea anyway) BTS never showed each other anything but support and kindness. They FOUGHT (and showed us, sometimes) but there was not malice. Jin was the youngest in his family, and pampered, but when he came to BTS had to take the role of oldest, which he has done with great grace. H cares warmly for his team, and does so without any attempt to dominate them - but it's still funny watching him shut someone up just by looking at them. He used to take JK home with him for the weekend, because JK missed his own mum. n fact all are so close that it seems their parents have kind of adopted all of them. Jin and RM bought houses in Seoul for their parents : they are neighbours and the dads play golf together most weekends.... Jimin debuted after only about 6 months of training, and lived in fear that he would be cut. He had not sung before at all, BH had no funds for classes for him, so he tagged along with Jin and JK and then at night tried to copy what he had seen, with help from them. He was / is very self-critical and remained very sensitive about his abilities actually for several years! Suga was hard up. His stories abut getting ripped off for his music are probably pretty common at the low end of the industry. He is strong, but very vulnerable at the same time, and this comes through in his music a lot. He is also extremely honest and open about what he might consider his faults. But this gives him great insights. V's parents were also very hard up - he lived with his grandma because they had to work to get money to support the family. But his parents actually tried to support his music - they bought him a saxophone, when it must have been an expensive item for the family. He remains very close with his dad. J-Hope actually left BTS - RM pleaded with the company to keep him, and he did come back pretty quickly - because the other members begged him to stay. His contribution to BTS is immense. The gospel song in this vide "Hey Mama" is a tribute to his mum, who took a second job specifically to pay for his dance lessons.

That is THEE Wembley Stadium London UK been there a few times. It's not easy to sell out Wembley Stadium and BTS did it for 2 nights running. Only 12 artists/group have ever sold it and BTS is one of them and only 1 of 7 to have sold it out more than once. It can hold 120,000 people but only had seat's for 90,000 when you have a stage you lose about 30,000 seats behind the stage. We then have to place seats on the Football field and BTS have a run way through the centre of the football field as well. The UK has very strict Heath and Safety Law's after a huge accident at a Football stadium where too many football fans were let in and people died due to the crush and the fact it cause a wall to fall and kill people as well as those who died in the crush of people. No Stadium is allowed to have more people enter than there are seats for them to sit in. Once the seats are sold out no more fans can obtain a ticket and enter.

Helpful hint for the guide: Not sure if you know.... Korean people counted age differently to others... Korean Age vs International Age - difference is 1-2 years depending on if their birthday has been.... In most older videos, including this guide, they are giving Korean ages so you will need to adjust. The members were only 13-18 years old when they joined BTS and 15-20 yo when they debuted. In Korea when you are born you are considered 1 year old. Then on lunar newyear every year you add another year to your age, no matter what your birthdate is. .... Year of birth - International age at Debut on 13June13 Jin 1992 - 20 yo Suga 1993- 20 yo Suga started with MIDI at 11 JHope 1994 - 19 yo JHope started dancing at 8 RM 1994 - 18 yo RM started rapping at 11 and was well known in the underground scene at 13 Jimin 1995 - 17 yo V 1995 - 17 yo JK 1997 - 15 yo he signed with big hit at 13 Rule of thumb - if it's before their birthday - subtract 2 years to get international age. if it's after their birthday - subtract 1 year to get their international age. The Korean Government has recently (June28 last year) brought in international age as the standard in Korea, but all older videos/ interviews/ shows, will be referencing Korean age. 💜Have a great day Sending Greetings from Australia💜 52yo ARMY since 2016.
