I think the only dealbreakers for the upcoming iPad 11 are the USB-C 2.0 and the non-laminated screen if the only upgrade is to the A17 Pro chipset, meaning the only improvements would be in performance and Apple Intelligence.

I wish Apple would focus on stability and reliability. I’ve recently bought an M4 Mac mini and am horrified by the number show stopping bugs that currently have no work arounds, particularly when it comes to file system operations particularly when it comes to docks and all types of external disks. And as for value, they should re-evaluate their upgrade prices when buying macs, the current strategy means they are losing tons of money as people opt to go for base models where they can and use external storage instead. Wrong headed thinking all over

Apple makes their money from iPhones primarily. Also Apple always expects to sell majority baseline Mac’s and iPads. The amount of people who upgrade is limited compared to the number of people who just buy it off the shelf or opt for the cheapest choice. Also Apple is and has been the leading market cap company. They wouldn’t put forward a strategy that would lose them money long term, and even if they were losing money on some devices (and I don’t think they are) it would likely still benefit them eventually.

Their upgrade prices are only looks bad, if you compare them in the wrong category.. their RAM and Storage speed is considered at keast high end.. but most people only compare the price with the low mid products.. (just for example the 120GB/s transfer speed in the basic Mac is equal with about 3channel DDR5, what you won't find, very rare to find any laptop with 4 RAM slot, and those are also extremly expensive laptops like Alienware.. and the 120GB/s also a PCIe 6.0 x16 speed, what you can't even find any laptop, to plug your GPU there, because the speed how the CPU and GPU can communicate is based on the slot where you plug it.. not to mention the 500+GB/s in M4 Max laptops, those are equivalent a 10channel DDR5 + PCIe 8.0 x16 slot.. well good luck to find any other laptop with 10 RAM slots and PCIe 8.0 slot... if you compare the SSD price/upgrade for the HDD price/upgrade of course it will look expensive.. but their transfer speed difference still validate that diff for you.. i bet most of you are not using any HDD recently just because it's cheaper...)

not really for an iPad. Its a consumption device, not a collection device, like an iPhone. Bonus, with USBC, plug in any SSD for more storage. iPads biggest issue is is iPadOS.

I love the Apple TV and Roku. If Apple came out with an Apple TV Stick, I’ll gladly go to it. I don’t game or need all the bells and whistles, so would love the Apple Stick. That’s why I love Roku, it’s simple and has free apps for movies and shows, so if Apple did it, it’ll be an amazing product. Plus, sticks don’t need a shelf or other stuff to put another box on a stand.

I would say get the m1 air instead of the upcoming m4 and if you need more pro features get the M1 Pro MacBook Pro Get the iPad Air 5 for the same price as the iPad 11 is better more powerful m1… Get the iPhone 13 Pro instead of the se4 And buy the series 8 instead of the se for same price

I think the iPad 11 will get A17 Pro, however dont rule out the A16 chip just yet... and for the iPad Air, that's the true toss up.... I have a feeling Apple will give it the M3 processor because the M4 is so powerful and still a recent chip .. I dont think they want the Air and Pro fighting in sales and as much as possible they would like the Pro to stay as a Pro machine... once the iPad Air gets M4, no one will buy the iPad Pro unless they come out with the M5 processor already 😭

Make sense to me that Apple will make sure all the new devices will run on Apple Intelligent (A.I.) therefore, the lowest qualification chips must be in all the new replacement device like A17Pro (iPhone 15 Pro chip)/M4/S10... in order for them to roll out more A.I. features to compete with Microsoft and Android devices. Also, while Microsoft is ending all supports for Windows 10 and older in October 2025 that requires many home computer/laptop users to upgrade their hardware, it's a great time for Apple to throw out the best of the best at budget price to gain market share from Windows PC users to switch over.... like me!
