New build… 1934 Plymouth Coupe 🙌

Bad Chad has been eagerly wanting to start something new so that he can do what he does best... be creative. So we're going to pull in our 1934 (or 1933?) Plymouth Coupe and start making a game plan. We could do this build the traditional way... or step outside of the box and do something that's never been done before. You'll never guess what he wants to do. The coupe is basically just a shell sitting on a chassis. It has no floor, no engine, no rear suspension, no steering, no brakes... so the first step will be getting the body off the chassis so that we can start fabricating a floor 🔨

No. No to the GT6 roof on that nice coupe. The GT6 roof idea does sound fun & different though. But try it on an old shell of a 4 door sedan or something. Don't waste a good coupe.

Most of those "finished cars" are from when he did the Discovery Channel shows, he keeps cutting as cutting keeps the viewing numbers up, which by the way is the motivation for the builds.

What do you call finished? He has a shop full of finished car's. Yes he does have car's that are not finished but it takes a whole lotta money to take it where you have taken car's before. I own a old car that is 70 year's old and I'm not going to put thousands of dollar's into it. I'll drive it with the old chip up paint and still be happy.

the doner roof is a 1967-1969 Triumph GT-6 , it has the defrost vents which rules out 1966. They are hardtop SPITFIRE'S . there is a youtube about taking a tr-5 Triumph and putting a GT-6 roof on it , giving the car at first glance , the James Bond DB-6 look. a tr-6 is the same chassis as a tr-5 [tr-250] Doug's car Chad gave him , is a TR-7 , hope this helps ,LOVE THE SHOW!!!

Too bad that Bad Chad isn't hip to photoshop or another image program. It would be so easy to take a snap of this car and put 20 different roofs on it in an hour. And all printed out in colour to compare. Would be cool to use an iconic recognizable roof like a Fox Body or a Ford 150 or a 70's station wagon. Can't wait for him to surprise us with his ideas!

I think she sits pretty just as she is. Build it out as is. Cover the sides you don’t like with some side pipes. Put new whitewalls back on it. Just my view. Very reminiscent of my dad’s first car. Looks like it’s doing 100 mph just sitting there. Whatever you decide to do, enjoy the journey.

Hello Chad just a thought on the Hudson belt issue. Why not cut the spout coming from the water pump just above the where the spout from the rad is and then wield a 90 degree on it pointing towards the rad spout and join them with a hose. That should lower it all enough so that you can put the belt on and it not hit the hose.
