The batteries have not been confirmed yet. That could make a big difference.

It'll be interesting to see the price positioning for the new Dolphin. The Dolphin doesn't seem to have sold in huge numbers here in Australia as it's priced too closely to the Seal and Atto 3. The MG4 is cheaper and has sold well.

When I read another motor I thought nice it’s going to be awd hot hatch lol. Still prefer the mg4 will be interested to see in the updated interior for it.

No more different coloured bonnet please ... I would definitely look at the mid powered one in Australia, hopefully the interior is more Seal like and less Atto like.

In the Netherlands, many had high hopes for BYD coming with affordable EV's. Sadly, the cheapest start at €36.500. So even a lot more expansive than EU build EV's. I guess, these updates will make the BYD even more dear. 6 weeks ago, we bought the Dongfeng Nammi Box for €23.400 with full options. Funny thing is, due to the smaller battery (42kWh) and the lighter weight of the Nammi, it is much more efficient than the BYD. On average it uses around 12kWh per 100km, and that is with this temperature. The "warmer" periode first weeks of November, above 10 degrees, it did 11kWh to 100km. So, we are glad to have kept €13.000 in the pocket.

As far as I think, yes. They said the Blade V2 battery would be coming in the dolphin, the seal and the Yuan Plus (Atto 3).

I prefer the original version, particularly the light bar on the back with the knot pattern. Making the car slightly shorter is an improvement. The option of a 130kW motor could be better because the 150kW motor has a lot of torque that could introduce wheelspin. Also a130kW model could have cheaper insurance. Do you know when it will be available in 2026 and do you know if it will have the Blade 2 battery?

Easy, just intro a spec called Mono (short for Monochrome). Make it only White, cheap wheels, grey interior with cloth seats, basic AC, smallest battery, single motor and 1% finance.

Should be for sale in Europe in 2025 this year, and maybe even deliveries this year. Otherwise, 2026 deliveries. The BYD plant in Hungary is going to be making them.

2026 - what do you mean? We are not 2025 yet. European brands change model year around summer. Other brands use current calendar year as model year.
