Back in New Caledonia, we continue our apprenticeship of the Kanak knowledge along with Joseph, Mike and Alexandre. In the second part of their story, we witness the transmission of the canoeists traditions, between a celebratory night, a navigating day and always the astonishing landscapes of New Caledonia.
Extract from the documentary: “People of the sea: New Caledonia / Kanaks, the canoeing clan”
Direction: Matthieu Maillet
Production: DÉCOUPAGES & ARTE France

Paradise life.. no buzzing of fake news, only the sound of waves crashing on the reef and the whispering of the coconut leaves.. sitting on the beach looking out at the largest shopping mall mother nature has to offer.. I 🧡 island life.

Same. I never would have become a heroin addict. I would have a place in society and find life fulfilling. I know nobody's life is perfect and their life is not without much hardship but there is no purpose to the American way of life. If I ever get clean I plan on moving off grid and living like a native for the rest of my life. Have a great day.
