I used to hit an old Cobra Amp 10.5 degree reg flex. The ball spin rate was 3500RPM and my carry was 215 yrds. I now hit a Mavrik SubZero 10.5 degree stiff flex and the spin rate is 2100RPM, my carry is 245 and I have a slight draw now. Could not be happier.

I just played my first game of the second year with the Mavrik. So far I really enjoyed it. I’ve realized that with this driver I had to slow down some compared to my old one but I have so much more control.

Bought Mavrik standard after years playing an ancient Callaway Diablo model. High handicapper who struggled to hit driver. Mavrik didn't cure my ills, no magic cure for slicing even when set to draw bias and delofted. That said it did make me realise I was the problem, not the equipment, so have spent time working on my technique. Mix of far stronger grip and more in-to-out downswing and I've finally managed to straighten them up. Goes about 20-30 yards further than the old driver but sounds terrible compared to titanium bodied driver heads. More like a slow speed car park collision than a 'thud', unless you catch it super clean. All-in-all though I'm very glad I bought one as can now step onto tee with a lot more confidence.

I only starting playing recently and bought a call away set. Warbird. I have say there seems very little difference between the look of the warbird driver and the mavrik I’m just on my way to test. Even the stiff shaft doesn’t fell any less flexible than warbird regular shaft. We’ll see shortly on performance

I've always found it odd that golfers talk about look and sound. Who cares. Its distance and accuracy that matters. You can sell me a pink shafted 1982 Big Bertha if it goes 300+ and straight down the fairway!

I would actually say that optimum numbers if your club head speed is 109mph then you should be able to get 160+mph ball speed. Correct?

Got it for the same price of the TM M-4! Got lucky! I did a clean exchange $300 after the m4 dented after one miss shot! 🤦🏼♂️ Dicks didn’t want to but they definitely did!

I currently have a 2011 Nike VR Pro and hit it well. Would I gain much more distance moving to the Mavrik?

I think a lot of golfers could gain a lot of yards with a new driver, but you gotta find a great fitter for that. Not that easy.

@@station2station544 A real comedian. The Epic looked fine as well but the Flash and the Mavrik look horrendous - awful color schemes. If you wanted a good looking driver you'd be better off with TM, Ping or Cobra.

@@sumsar0125 haha. Yeah the orange is a bit weird. But I have the Mavic fairway wood in a Graphite design Tour AD-DI shaft which is orange so it works. But you're right. It's not as pretty as a Titleistt TS3 or the SIM. But the SIM performance was terrible in my hands. Even with 112MPH clubhead speed I couldn't spin it above 1600. Not good. Cheers.

@@station2station544 I'm strictly talking drivers though, haven't checked out all the different woods and hybrids. I can appreciate a little color coordination ;) Guess I'm just a fan of that blue/teal color. I have yet to be custm fit for any equipment, pretty new to the game. Currently at 19 and will probably look into a custom driver when I approach 10 HCP. Have a good one sir.

The companies are an absolute joke. You can buy a driver from 5 years ago for a fraction of the price of this one and get just about exactly the same amount of performance. Unfortunately there are too many people who buy into their BS every year so they will race out and buy it and see just about no improvement over their current drivers.
@thomasdragon23634 жыл бұрын
Put so much emphasis on the technical parameters .... regular golfers are looking for bottom line results! how far does it go AND how forgiving is the Driver !! .... you virtually ignored the dispersion. Leaner nothing from your video.... clean it up

Disagree..I think he covered it well. So many good drivers that its personal preference, including $$ I have owned all 2020 models and currently have the TS2 in the bag as best allrounder. Ping G410 is 2nd. SIM and Mavrik joint 3rd. If only the hosels were universal to swap around shafts...
