Tim Holtz isn't retiring. He is going more into education on products already out, old releases will be coming back, and new releases aren't out of the questions. He does want to "make" more than constantly working on new items.

As a calligrapher and pen user/collector, I find this kit supercallifragilisticexpialidosius. Love it!!!! A thought for the future… could you make a disc bound journal please. I thought of it when you said “you can take paper out and put it back.”

Congratulations on 45,000, lovey you’re gonna be @100,000 by the time you blink your eyes we have your back and we have faith you’ll one day have a million subscribers. Beautiful kit thank you for that and the freebie. What I understood was Tim isn’t going anywhere he still has contracts with all the companies and as long as all the products out for sale, as long as they keep selling they will continue to make and all the stamps will remain available. For all the products coming this year they worked on them last year because Tim said they always worked ahead. As for what is being released this year I’m not really sure he was kinda vague like you said. I hope this helped clear anything up? He said he’s still gonna do lives but they will be much shorter because it will be of him making and teaching things. I loved your project today the dangles and theme was absolutely adorable! ❤❤❤

😍 You can never go too crazy with technical illustrations. My husband still has his books from technical college from decades ago, but I'm not allowed to take them apart. I tried scanning the images. Not satisfied with the results. So, thanks a thousand times for having them in the kit. ❤

Hold my scissors, ... I'm back, just had to download kit and freebie. LOVE it. I mostly print on matte photo paper, 130 g, double sided, ultimate crisp prints, ephemera pieces like letters, I print on the thinnest kopie paper I can get, coffe dyed beforehand, ironed if needed for printing, to make it look more old. I love my Epson ET-4810, printing is so less expensive with the refill bottles (I use the fake ones now, same quality, even print on overhead foils etc.) Not needing new cartridges after max 50 pages anymore is such a relive. I can get nearly 200 pages out of one bottle set for around 17 €. Before I had HP and canon. New cartridges cost more than a new printer, sad. The EP prints onto up to 300 g cardstock. Careful they need to be printed one by one, like the thinner overhead foils but they dry up perfect. No blurring when used with glossy accents! Higher costs for the printer come in quick if you print masses. Refurbished ones are cheaper.

He’s not going to be creating any new designs but he is still connected to all the companies, they’ll continue to manufacture and sell existing designs, and yes he has a few new things that were designed last year that will be released this year. So creative. I am amazed by the retirement news as well. I was hoping for more colors of ink pads. I can't tell you what color he needed to create, but in my mind I just thought it would be great to have more. Never enough. This kit couldn't have been more perfect!! I have pretty good penmanship but have wanted to learn some new styles, particularly calligraphy so I am determined to focus on it this year. I have all of my practice sheets printed and waiting for my fountain pen, ink and brush markers to be delivered. So excited to make a journal with the kit and freebies to help document my progress this year.

Beautiful digital, Margareth! I would love to see some of those images as stamps! TH was surprising, right? But I'm happy for him that he can leave behind all the pressures of designing new products and get back to creating his own projects and teaching. He really is an excellent teacher. As for his makers, they have gotten a lot of exposure from being associated with him, and he said some would continue to work with the brands. The products that will be released this year, were designed last year. And he said Ideology would continue to make his products as long as they continue to sell. I too am wondering if I need to stock up on the cellophane tape, also ephemera packs. I think there will be a run on his products now. But if it's true that they will continue to make products as long as they sell, we should be okay!

@ wow, you are the only person that has ever said that. He talked to us each time. I said well we are prolly talking too much. He may want to talk to others. He looked around and said no one else was there n kept talking to us. My son which was n is 14. He talked with him. He was not in any hurry at all. We talked to him 3-4 times. We showed him cards we made with his products n he signed them. I started crying when I met him n he put his arm around me n said he is just like everyone else. No different. I watch him so much that my son knew his voice n recognized him before I knew he was there. Another person almost passed out when she met him. I saw her on a bench.
