Luise, you are glowing! I'm only a few minutes into the video, but had to stop to write this comment to say how fantastic you look. Hurrah for you on your "get healthy" journey. You look so happy "in your own skin" now. 💛🧡❤

Luise, I'm in awe of how thoughtfully & carefully you've organized the structure/design of your craft room...especially recalling how it looked during the construction phase!! I'm sure this took a lot of effort and you should be proud of the great job you did! Like you, I always start projects based on color and then pull in the "components". This video helped me understand how a visually driven crafter can better organize. Your primary inspiration are colors, so the wall of inks/paints/papers is the focal point. The secondary element (components) are stored in closed storage (drawers, baskets, bins) to reduce visual distraction. The third element (tools) are positioned where they are used most. Your "creating space" (desk) is reserved only for current projects to keep clutter to a minimum. And when a project is complete the "colors, components and tools" go back to their specific home and your craft room returns to its neat and tidy design. You continue to inspire on so many levels!!

Thank you for addressing the fact that we don't need a ton of supplies to make amazing stuff. Your aesthetic is your aesthetic. It will shine through no matter how much stuff you have or don't have. Thank you for the reminder.

So lovely to have a face to go with your voice. I so enjoy your sense of humor - a bit twisted like mine. Albert Einstein said “Creativity is intelligence having fun.” In your case could not agree more. I’ve learned so much from you - thank you for sharing your viewpoint and experience. I’m having the time of my life in my art room letting go and making the art I want to make and most importantly being proud of all I do even the not so good stuff because I had the courage to try and there is always something to learn! 💜💕♥️

Thanks for letting us know that you would still be the same person if you would only have a tenth of your supplies you would still be the same person. I’m very happy with what I have at the moment. I just like to be creative and be distracted from my daily problems. Thank you for letting me realize that. I love your honesty ❤

Also what newcomer might not realize is that your craft supplies and storage etc have evolved from that same small space that you started in yourself. And supplies are accumulated over several years. Thanks for always sharing with us. I am happy for you and what you have. You have worked hard for that.

I'm never jealous of anyone who has more than me. I'm very happy for anyone. I've redded out and have become very selective in getting things. I don't want them if they're going to sit. Everyone is at a different level of items. It takes time to accumulate. I'm surprised your labeling is not in german. Luise, this is the most beautiful, organized craft room I have ever seen! I loved seeing this video.

Luisa, I'm really enjoying your 2 videos (so far) of your creative apartment and studio tours. A few ideas: 1) your drying mats can be put into a wall pocket (office supply) possibly by your paper towels. 2) your splatter brush could go into a toothbrush holder. 3) the grungy drawers you decorated on your desk that slide, put a small empty box to keep them from sliding back. Lastly, to your "freak", brava! Fly your freak flag when you need to. It makes you uniquely you! 😊 Thank you for the videos. ❤

You said the most encouraging words for me. That no matter our space, we are crafters. I had to sacrifice my craft room for my grandson. My supplies are mostly boxed up, which makes it frustrating when I work on a craft. But I am continuing to paper craft. Love how you stored your stencils. Thank you for your craft room tour. 💚💚💚

I have been waiting for this part of your tour - thank you so much for taking us through this part of your studio and explaining how your brain leads you to make your decisions. You look so happy and I am so pleased for you to have this new fantastic space. It is like the opposite of your tiny caravan where you had to create space with clever solutions. Now you and your supplies have room to breathe and I can imagine you will continue to be your wonderfully creative self. Your room is beautiful and I love that you are living your dream!

For your small drawers, to keep them from sliding around, you could set them on a silicone pot holder/ hot pad/ trivet mat. They come in various thicknesses. You can get one or two thin ones so they don't take up too much height.

I am very impressed everything is labeled in english. Some suggestions are included here, going to use some of your techniques when I reorganize. Hold your dryer with a hook or bulldog clip just on the edge or under your desk on the right hand side to prevent moving your project. Your imagination for storage methods is incredible. To prevent your boxes and stamps from sliding back put a piece of wood or book behind them on the desk, no need to attach in case you want to move them. Looking forward to part 2! Time for coffee.....

thanks so much for sharing your new space with us. i am sure it took days and days for you to get it up and functional to your liking. just a little hint at about the 1:20 mark while you were telling us about the cabinet with all the texture mediums. there are little tabs of metal (just above the rock candy jar and one across at the same position) that can be bent inward to prevent the drawers from pulling out to far. there may be different places to do those little bends so be careful because once bent or if you ever want to take the drawer out completing the bent tabs may prevent that option from happening easily. so bend inward a little at a time until you need the tabs to be. i use a flat head screw driver to give them a little push. looking forward to all the magic being creating from this room.

I love how you have you room set up. I also like the gathering process of supplies before you start a project. Right now I am trying to get my room in order. I had two back surgery within two weeks and have to recover first. I’m so excited to get my act together so I can create. I have four sewing machines on my kitchen table right now . I have been making underwear for my 4 granddaughters, they will not wear store bought ones. I also sew for a charity organization that makes Bundles of supples, clothing etc for newborns in need. I really need to move my machines into my craft room.

I am in love with your crafting studio. My brain works the same way yours does in categories and colors. I loved my studio until I became bedbound. My solution was IKEA carts. One for tools, one for stamping, one for die cutting, one for jewelry making...etc. I have my caregivers to bring to me what I need. I then go shopping through my carts, and I have a project cart where I put everything I need for that project. It works great for me! 🙂 Thanks for sharing!

Wow, love your craft room. It’s fantastic. You also look beautiful and happy. So true , you don’t need a lot of room to be creative or need tons of supplies. I never had a craft room. Now in the last 15 years been crafting in a corner of my living room before that I crafted in my little kitchen. But I have a lot of craft stuff or supplies collected over 35 years. I have supplies all over my apartment, in my walk in closet, under the bed . Chest and drawers, 😆😆🤣. It’s every where. In my coat closet. My problem is when I need something I don’t remember where I put it. I do have a large craft table next to it a bin with 5 drawers. And I keep the stuff I need daily around me. Some supplies on the floor. My sewing machine is in my closet, I do have to pull it out and sew on my kitchen table. I sew very little because of that. When I was young and had a house I sewed. I had a sewing room. But now at my old age live in a Senior apartment. I don’t craft like I used . So I create projects in a small area. I do ok. You get used to it. At least I can create something if I feel like it. But I love how you organized your room. It’s beautiful, Louise. I wish you all the best. You are a genius of a crafter. You are amazing. Wish I was talented like you.
