I'm much more excited about your plans to turn the shop into a work space than about your new camera, to be honest. 😄 If it turns out anything like your van, it's gonna be quite cramped but highly efficient!

what did you ditch it for and why?
@FilmedByHendrixАй бұрын
@@MrMe69420 the client I used it for (and paid rental rates every shoot) wanted to go to Red. It was a tough decision but since I still had my FX6, it made more sense to sell the FX9.

nice to see that some other ENG cam people are also using a IEM plugs :D i was using like normal sony headphones over 20 years but the right side of camera are always too tight.. i am just now change to IEM plugs.. sure it will take a small extra time to plug it but the audio quality is soooo much better!

Hey love the content! I'm looking at a similar FX9 setup for myself and I noticed you have the bright tangerine master handle on that together with a cheese plate. Which top plate is that and how do you like the top handle so far? Also how does it interface with the cheese plate, do the screw holes align properly? Thanks for any info in advance!

The light bank LED inflatables are under powered. I think the material they use has the potential to melt so they aren’t very bright. I tried the 4x2 and sent it back.
@JoelGabrielsen2 ай бұрын
That is good to know!! That sounds problematic for sure. Probably just stick to the modifiers.

Oh snap, I think you have the same foldable wagon cart I have. Also, that audio rats nest of the mixer and wireless receivers during the convention is horrible

How do you run your audio? Do you run the boom mic into the camera or to a recorder?
@JoelGabrielsen2 ай бұрын
On these three shoots I ran audio straight into the FX9. Ideally I would want to run audio separate and have someone dedicated but I was just by myself on these ones. Thanks for watching!

How do you like that double decker foldable wagon? Is it actually helpful or a gimmick? I've been eyeing it for my SUV package as my modified magliner is just too big and rock-n-rollers have too many limitiations.

So FX9 instead of FX6 or the idea is something different?
@JoelGabrielsen2 ай бұрын
I went for the FX9 for a few reasons: 1. 6K downsampled image. In my opinion it looks a little better. Just like the A7IV vs FX3. 2. Sensor crop modes. Super 35, Super 16. Being able to use a variety of different lenses. 3. Audio is integrated in the body and not the handle. I switched out the handle to a bright tangerine setup. 4. Integrated shoulder pad, extension handle and eye piece for shoulder operated workflow. 5. The FX9 does mpeg2 recording for broadcast. I have had a few broadcast clients specifically request that format for news. 6. I have lost a few projects not owning a FX9. Normally when someone requests a FX6 package I can usually sell them on a FX3. The people that requested a FX9 were pretty sold on a FX9 and wouldn’t budge. The FX6 is an amazing camera and I would still like to have one in my kit at some point.
