If you have the BMW version of the Chigee, it is just a portable and that would make a 10 in your comparison spreadsheet, wouldn't it? Now I know that they announced on their website that the 6" version is coming by the end of the year and that a BMW version will be available around May 2025, I will have to wait for a while before getting the Chigee. Of course it's more expensive, but you get what you pay for. Thank you for the comparison, great info.

Hi Yes the W702B Pro is BMW Navigation Prep compatible the Chigee AIO-5 Play for BMW is also compatible, mine however is a Standard Play converted to be removable 👌🏻

for now, ill keep the carpuride 702 pro, ill wait until the aio6 is released next year, I prioritize the larger screen of the carpuride over the GPS of the aio5, but the new aio6 will combine the best of both worlds

Good evening and thank you for this comparison. I see that you have Calimoto on your smartphone. Can you tell if Calimoto works well on the Chigee and the Capuride under Android? Same question for GPS applications like Osmand, Kurviger, 68° and the other most known applications that we all have on our phones? Thank you in advance for your answer.

Hi There, thank you for watching and your comment I can confirm both apps work perfectly with both the Carpuride and the Chigee, however I can only comment on Apple CarPlay as I use an iPhone 15 Pro Max, I may possibly in the future order a Android phone to test this out.

I have used the Chigee in the rain without issue I have not had the opportunity to use the Carpuride during precipitation at this time sorry 🤷🏻‍♂️

How do you connect your headset now? I mean I have my headset to TFT on phone 1 and to my gps on phone 2. In this setup (carpuride or chigee or...) do you have to cut out the TFT?

Hi Barry thanks for the comment, I still connect my phone to the BMW TFT but only for the use of the connected ride, speed limits, ride recording if you dont use connected ride app just don’t link your phone👍🏻 I use a automation on my iphone to stop the TFT pinching the audio watch this video by my friend Paul who explains how to do it kzbin.info/www/bejne/g2qWm6xsg7Oqj5Isi=LZFA5VbJa4myNV4J

Ey'up Neil, I've recently used the Chigee Play BMW on a 2-week holiday in France and we had 3 days where it pee'd down, on those days the Chigee would lose connection to my phone repeatedly so much so I thought it's going in the bin. Now I'm not sure if it was due to any ingress around the pogo pin connectors whether it was the Chigee unit itself or whether it was software related as I was following detailed complex GPX routes on remote back roads at the time and possibly something to do with the amount to data from phone to chigee. One good thing is you could lock the chigee screen with one of the top buttons to stop rain from affecting it. I'd be interested to see if you encounter any of these problems with either system when it starts getting a bit wet. Moving on from the Chigee, when you expectiing the decat Akro header? 🙌Very interested on your thoughts on them, I'll look out for you at Squires when you do so you can put a face to the name. @@JaySalvoUK Hi Jay thanks for the feedback buddy, yes I will certainly keep an eye on the issues you mentioned 👍🏻 The Akra headers are due sometime in November I have sold the Shotgun Akra that was fitted to my bike and just received the new style Titanium single can 👌🏻 the weight of this is insane it only weighs 2kg the shotgun weighed 3.3kg The headers are also Titanium so 3.4 kg lighter and the full system is supposed to give around 6hp and + 5.9 nm torque 😊 First I will fit the tail can then do a full video fitting the system 👍🏻 BHP UK are interested in doing a Dyno episode in conjunction with the channel so lots of exciting things coming 😉 Say hello next time im at Squires mate be good to meet you 😊

@@NJWMOTO Will do Neil although it won't be till the new year now as I've just traded my 1250 in for a 1300 and they have said 10 week lead time. Funny you mentioned BHP as I've watched the videos they do with the 1300 and thought if I go down the route of decat I'd have to look at a map, I have also looked at the DNA kit to go with it too but I'm getting a bit ahead of myself. I don't know if you have seen the hill climb video from the Mansell Collection where the tuned R1300GS is quicker than the tuned M1000XR, which shows what its really capable of. Cheers Jay

@@markshirley7639 Its hard to say Mark The Carpuride is super value for money and good quality 7” screen is brilliant, the Chigee is super top quality excellent integration with wizzy wheel beautiful TFT screen is a bit small and a lot more money but worth every penny. Like I say hard to choose 🤷🏻‍♂️
