I use a can of parts cleaner to clean the couplers out. I usually don't use a disk in the spring but I've got so much trash from corn these days that I'm going to disk one field so I can get through it with my antiquated field cultivator. I had hip surgery in early April so a neighbor was good enough to dig most of my ground with his not so old FC and Challenger but even his FC plugged occasionally. He saved a field for me so I could have even more fun with my equipment :). Will hopefully be planted with soybeans by Monday.

I really like how you got the ability to adjust those gains through a screw.

It's super easy!! Much easier than the old 470.

Looks like a good disc. So to adjust it add 10° above bevel point add 13.5° as per the manual over ride. Add the tractor hp and divide it by 3 should work great. Great video thanks. Have a good day.

If you plan to run your soil finisher behind that disc. I would say the 9" blade spacing is desired. The 7.5 spacing is a finishing disc more or less. Good for pulverizing and chemical incorporation. I prefer the 9". Better for leveling out combine ruts and like. Then I finished with a field cultivator. Used that to incorporate chemicals with.

I find ether works pretty good for cleaning hydraulic couplers before connecting. One thing for certain, lack of cleanliness in system is costly.

You have been pretty aggressive with new to you equipment purchased this past year. Things are paying off, one might surmise. Good for you and a good for us video.

I think I'm getting lucky before things get worse..... so I don't have to find them when this shortage business really starts to squeeze everything. You know, like those folks who bought gamestop before the nerds went crazy on reddit. They didn't know, but they bought some stock, then, shear dumb luck had it in their favor.

Thats a good looking disk. We still use a 470. I dont think theres a disk out there that will level better than an IH.

Nice disks! Those EarthMetal Blades are really nice and damn tough(doubt unbreakable, but haven't broke one yet). And they are made in Canada(company is Ingersoll).

Ford did equip their two tractors with a roller drawbar option but that like other tractors came only on a tractor not equipped with three point linkage.

My old Allis 7000 series hold their orange color very nicely but the 8000 series Allis cabs fade quickly while the rest of the tractor holds it's color pretty good. Cabs were built at a different factory and I think vendered out to someone by the end of the 8000 series production just before Allis went under. I think Allis used pretty good paint for their day save for the 8000 cabs. I used to work at a CaseIH dealership and I thought the worst paint I was ever around was the IH 88 series like the 5088 etc, and the early Magnums. Faded to an awful purplish color.
