At the time it was fun.But now I appreciate all of the sets, antiques, costumes and the great scripts and acting. Some scenes are really intense.

As I am editing, I notice that some of the scenes are really long, sometimes just divided by a commercial. And, scripts were amazing. Many of the writers went on to do other soap operas or work in nighttime TV or movies.

I've been binge-watching the entire series (bought the full DVD set 2 years ago), I'm now at the Leviathan storyline. But for some reason I remember this arc of the show more than others. Watching Barnabas slowly trying to freak-out Dr. Hoffman with a sadistic game of of cat-and-mouse, his willing slave Carolyn, and the timely appearance of Jerry Lacy as Petersen---all well acted! And the Barnabas character was a lot more sinister and malevolent than he became later in the show.

Great insights. Thank you. I'm just starting on the Leviathan episodes and will remember you comments!

I love the look of this show. Nothing like characters confronting supernatural foes in suits and heels.

I always chuckle when I see Ohrbachs credited for costumes. I just checked and Ohrbachs is no more. What I always found interesting is that the women would be wearing nightgowns and robes around the house, even when they answered the door!

@@darkshadowsfansunite8140 What is interesting is that Ohrbach's was a store catering to working and very middle class women. The clothes were not particularly expensive, but I have to admit they looked pretty good!

Thank you for sharing. I had to idea that the intended shoppers were middle class.@@nassauguy48

No one does evil like Barnabas does evil. He turns it into an art form.

I just started watching n I can see the epicness if his character. Im hooked. 80s baby so u know Id watch the lost boys on repeat my entire life. It used to come on tv so much n I appreciated everytime. Ive asked for some answers about past lives n stuff n this is right in there tying in. I literally typed "past lives n stuff in this" which the word " HE IS SOMEWHERE IN THIS HOUSE.." word THIS emphasized at exact moments. Time stamp 2:37:57 right around there. I kjd you not. I went back to make sure.. Dont matter tho that happens to me literally all day n with everything.. Everything n i mean everything.. Unimaginable ways... Its crazy.. But yea thats because I'm a psychic medium telepath n more n I know many of my past lives... I been nervous to look at this one in particular with me as far as vamps so I see I can get into what that life was like for me n my tf alit more easily. I seen the tarot deck n that wss HOOK LINE SINKER for me.. I read everything n this is why im so gifted n very well self trained with assistance from my massive team. I can always be found watching something like this n will literally watch the twilight zone over n over without irritation. Rod gave us greatness but OK my rant over.. Connected n funny I'm not the only one n was led to specifically get in on it today n had no clue of its CURRENT BUZZ as if TODAY. IM PSYCHIC SO DUH LOL.. i wonder how long this gone take me.... 👀🍇🍌🍍🌮🥗🍣🍫🍨 No more ferrero rochers n almond m n ms lol.. Family bag all to myself smdh.. Yup its good! 💣

The psychology between Barnabas and Julia is fascinating.

I had forgotten how cruel Barnabas was to Julia before the strong friendship happened with Julia. Obviously I forgot this part.

As I just reviewed the episodes, I was amazed at the number of times that a scene seem totally different than what I remembered.

There are couple scenes was not what I remember, but obviously wrong in my memory. But majority is as I remember.

Remember him choking her!😨😨😨😨, especially the time before Sarah appeared to him, at the Old House. I think he was doing it with one hand.
