The new formula is ok but the older was better. The new mix dries way too fast no matter how you mix it. Fix the working time and dry time and it'll be a great product 3 out of 10 till then

@laticrete i think they got it figured out. Now it works great and isnt setting up in the bucket like before. Now ill give it a 10/10

All calcium-aluminate cements will be rapid setting products, this is due to the chemical reaction of the ingredients with hydration when mixed. When these products are mixed, they begin to generate their own heat which leads to the curing process. Working with these products in hot environments and/or direct sunlight may speed up the curing process. Additionally, over-mixing and mixing warm water with the products will also shorten the pot life. When working with rapid setting cements it's best to keep them out of direct sunlight even in their powder form, mix them with cold water if possible, and don't over-mix the product, this will result in the longest pot life potential, typically around an hour. The benefits to using a rapid setting cement grout like PERMACOLOR are a faster turnaround on the job allowing foot traffic and water exposure much sooner, and better color consistency due to the speed in which you can perform your final wash, and the lack of limestone, the cause of efflorescence, you would otherwise find in traditional cement grouts. Overall, the benefits of this product far outweigh the preparations needed when working with a rapid cement.

Hate the new formula, the old formula was great. Stopped using Permacolor now after using it for years. Won’t go back.

There’s no perfect grout method. It’s annoying, the haze, wait 3 hours for the 2nd cleaning? That doesn’t fit into some scheduling jobs. Everyone Hates grout(filler!)
