i remember after the beastmen rework in warhammer 2 and fans of chaos were super pissed that WoC was left so massively far behind, how unfair it was! pretty much all of warhammer 3's development has been about improving Chaos as a whole, we've come so far from just having Archaon Sigvald and Kholek

Plague toads come from the Garden of Nurgle, so I think it makes sense that the Beastmen don't have access to them.

while it'd be nice for Plague Ogres to get added to Warband stuff along with Chaos Ogres I'd say that the Toad Dragon fits in the gifted units since Dragon Ogre Shaggoths already belong there, with Warband recruitment it'd be far to easy to get a lot of them pretty early on so this seems like the best way to give the WoC Toad Dragons.

I wouldn't mind respective factions having access to the legendary heroes that Tamurkhan gets, just without any of the special active abilities. But maybe they're just way less "legendary" when they don't have these activatable abilities. Nurgle gets Kazyk WoC gets Khargan Norsca gets Mournhowl and Ketzak Beastmen get Grukmur Chaos Dwarfs get Ezar

I hope we will also get marked Lords/heroes. I think the reason we din't get them is that we only have two know marked Beastmen character : Rurkhar Festigor for Nurgle and Panyck the Manic for Slaanesh. Maybe CA wait that GW create named marked beastmen from the other two, could happen since with each new old army they create two new specials characters, the main beastmen army can receive the universal Chaos mark and beastmen are not know for dying of old age. But that mean that GW need not to screw up and that alone is a scary thought

I mean a majority of the gift units are demons, but not all, even back when Champions of Chaos came out there was a few mortal units in the gifts pool, Dragon Ogre Shaggoths and the Hellcannons are a clear example of this, that doesn't mean I entirely agree with CA's choice to prevent Warriors of Chaos from doomstacking with them when most other races have free reign to doomstack should they so please (regardless of whether or not it's actually efficient or ideal for them). But I'm merely pointing out that this was kinda expected, at least, I expected it.

There is something I wish was more spread around, but I one time decided to play the warriors of chaos and I noticed economic trade buildings, IE all trade buildings give a buff while most factions merely benefit from some of them. I don't mean just an economic buff as they become potentially useless but I meant like the wood stock economic resource doesn't benefit more factions, such as lizardman do not benefit from the wood stock but should. That is just an example.

its more common for chaos races to get added benefits from all resources because most of them don't trade, which would make trade resources useless otherwise (same with Greenskins, though they have some resources they just don't have any way to exploit). That said there is perhaps an argument to be made that all of them should have more inherent benefits for every faction since trade income isn't the biggest thing anyway and even the direct income is sometimes pretty low. And its not even really like "this faction just uses this resource better than others" for economic value either. Pottery always has far less value than Gemstones etc. I'd say every resource should provide at least a small added benefit to every faction that doesn't currently already have specific benefits. Most of them already follow a general theme for existing bonuses that could easily be adapted into a general bonus (even if it wouldn't actually do much for some). Low value goods like Pottery could maybe just add some extra economic modifiers. Maybe some Public Order bonuses based on people being able to acquire basic comfort goods like these or something. Obviously its arguably not the point of a Total War game to have as much complexity in those aspects as other 4X games but its not like it can't be expanded a bit either. Especially when some factions do have that depth already.

Isn't it actually cheaper to have them separated in the dread option ? Since the marginal costs are always higher, that means recruiting 3 shields, 3 great weapons and 3 regular minotaur is way cheaper than getting 9 upgrades in the same unit cap

why would slayer pirates serve Aranessa? she's a vampire sympathizer. why would any ogre factions have plague ogres? they're plague ogres, they've dedicated themselves to nurgle. just by simple logic normal ogres would never want them around because they can't be eaten and carry disease.

IMHO the gifts of chaos are only good on Be'lakor because you can get the 35% boosted income from all buildings faction wide, 25% movement range and Dragon Ogre Shaggoth's(which aren't demonic either and kinda odd again like the toad dragons) or +100% income from vassals AND still get Income from post-battle loot +35%, + 35% income from razing settlements. He becomes stupid rich really quickly. Just take every dark fortress and select outpost area with resources you want(like iron) and gift the rest to vassals. Souls become pretty easy to farm and if you run out of rich pockets of souls just pop open a portal and go somewhere new. I honestly don't feel bad that you can't have an entire army of Toad Dragons as the WoC, they're so stupidly strong and getting so much additions inadvertently that we should just be happy at what they're getting. They're so strong already, I mean you even said that you forget to even use their Gifts mechanic, one of their main unique mechanics and do just fine.

I think it makes logical sense for mortal chaos units to be recruitable by WoC, and mortal chaos beasts to be recruitable by the Beastmen. Honestly I think the Gifts system reserving God-touched variant units and beasts should be a mechanical feature that if given to Norsca, as it follows along with the seeking out the gifts and favor of the gods themselves and being rewarded for it.

I'd say Bestigors are not good enough to be a tier 4 and it would be extra frustrating having to wait a fair few turns to get the growth to get them, especially playing as Khazrak. The God marked gors seem comfortable where they are as well but I wouldn't argue if they were moved to tier 3, if they were all added into the same dread upgrade though they would need to increase by 2 each upgrade instead of 1 (and start with 2 base recruitable).

If the beastmen should get the cockatrice shouldn't they also get access to the forest bats(Mother Ostankya's version, they can hide in forest) and shouldn't they get access to the Eagles, wolves and bears then? Or if you are going off of just tabletop, then shouldn't they get Dragon Ogre's, Dragon Ogre Shaggoths, Chaos Trolls, and Chimera's?

Vermintide 2 and old lore - chaos trolls ate nurgle warirors and have become bile trolls, now in TWWH 3, nice :) Only stormfiends are exclusive to vermintide 2 after this dlc launch, so, Tanquol time still shall come.

I'm not sure what I think about the Warriors of Chaos getting access to all the Beastmen units specific to a certain Chaos God. I mean they get so much already. And I don't want there not being good reasons to play the single Chaos God factions, because of the Warriors of Chaos having everything that they have anyway. All while Beastmen not even having access to Minotaurs of Khorne and the Cockatrice.

From a gameplay perspective scrutinizing WoC vs. Monogods isn't worth the weird inconveniences. WoC having 8 LLs looks dumb. As soon as you divide Chaos into 5 factions (Undivided being #5) it starts looking nice and makes logical sense who you can confederate. And maybe just leave Daniel in his own faction if that just can't work.

Beastmen in WoC feels weird to me. The WoC rosters are starting to feel muddy. Tzangors/centagors etc, I feel they should have been kept to Mono-god and Beastmen rosters only. Just my preference though. I understand that most people want everything they can get.

The Tamurkhan you see in game is not Tamurkhan. The real Tamrkhan is a big maggot living inside the skinsuit of an ogre. Tamurkhan isn't a mortal hence not part of WoC.

To be honest, Chaos is allready much too strong, i think a lot of those mono God units should not be shared with wardiors of Chaos and the 4 Champions of Chaos units should be readjustet to their mono gods. Only Daniel and Belakor should be able to use all mono god demon units And only Archaon should be able to use all warriors of Chaos units. But whatever in the end i just want more content no matter who benefits from it

The logic there is probably that since Kayzk is so directly tied to Tamurkhan, only his faction/Nurgle gets access to him. Aekold is much more vague, lore-wise. Seems like the kind of thing they might change at some point down the line though.

in *some* ways it makes sense, like it's hard for diseases to spread in the ice and snow so Nurgle not liking frozen climate would make sense. slaanesh might not like it either because they're all prancing around butt ass naked. but i mean this is a universe with magic and stuff so yea climate restriction for the magical race of otherworldly demons is a little weird

Mono God Factions should also get massive unkeep reduction for all daemons (all factions in the game) if the Shrine of Asuryan, and therefore the Great Vortex, is occupied by the forces of chaos

i dont think beastemen need cockatrices or toad dragons, and with the dread system how it is stuffing their roster absolutely full will require some ammount of reworking. were looking at beastmen getting at minimum 3 more units down the line, and i guess getting monogod harpies is open to them now too, I just don’t think its needed
