People say Nick is "too energetic". I say it's a lot more fun to watch these guys have fun while they're playing, and both Nick and Tycho are very much extroverts who love to express themselves. And I'm all for it. If folks want to watch something competitive and analytical, I'm sure there are other channels. This crew is a bunch of hobbyists who entertain by having fun playing a game. As for the game, man, was that a bunch of haymakers back and forth.

Your content and format are my favorite 40k media of any kind. And I'm a huge fan of Nick's enthusiasm, especially the way it highlights that there's more to this game than purely competitive play. Nitpick on this video: the bases on the custodes match TOO well to the battlefield, it was hard to see them on the overhead shots, which made it a bit challenging to maintain a good feel for the battlefield state.

Watching nick have a great time has really helped me find the energy to get painting because I also want to have that much fun and from what I’ve played Warhammer is worth getting that excited over. Man, what a game. It really was down to the wire, and probably a single roll could make it go either way (most critically probably those explosions and failed Dark Pacts). I also do feel the CSM were really strong, seeing as despite that misfortune the Custodes almost got tabled and the final score was so close.

Something I really appreciate about Play On is it's always about having fun over competitive success. You quite often see lists with weaker army models that are often regarded as bad e.g. Maulerfiend's. It's not just pure optimised Mathhammer and it works and is just enjoyable

On 15:16 there’s a mistake on Nick’s part: save cannot be upgraded to more than 3+ with cover, so would be saving on 3+ instead of 2+

thats for attacks with ap of 0, essentially cover always reduces ap by 1. So in that case the attack was AP -1 which means Nick's custodes do save on 2+ because of cover negating the AP
