I clicked on a video like this one a few months ago and had never played or watched a game of chess in my life! 😂 For some strange reason you lured me into the world of chess. I doubt I'll ever play it competitively but I enjoy watching you recaps. I am not usually one to care about influencers or celebrities but I find the chess-world drama fascinating. Also - and this will probably sound weird, but I also really like your voice. You could be reading an encyclopedia and I'd probably click on it and have it on the background. 🤷‍♀️ There are a handful of youtubers and audiobook narrators I could listen to all day that help lesson my anxiety. You're one of them!

5:18 From this position without the eval bar, I know I’m winning if I was in Pragg’s position. Nxa6+ due to pinning the knight to the king thanks to the queen on b3, bxa6 is forced, Rxc6 as the knight is out of the way, the bishop on d3 can capture on b5 when necessary thanks to the knight being under a discovered pin (discovered attack + pin). I probably would had not thought of the other moves though, I probably could but I would have to think of considering the move to deflect the queen on e7, and the pawn to a6 after trading the knight for a bishop, and I would see the queen sacrifice from an obvious glance leading the rook on a7 to be forced to take, then axb7+ with the pawn and Kb8 is forced then end with Ra8#, this would be a great chess puzzle.

I actually really like the annotated moves. Since your recaps usually cover more than one game, you obviously cannot dig as deep (I guess thats why people, sometimes myself included, find your content to be more oriented towards beginners), and realising that a move you passed over without comment is a mistake or great move (usually indicating an only move) allows me to pause and dig deeper with my own analysis should I want to do so. I get that it might spoil a little when a blunder is made etc, but personally im all for it.

Legendary move is when you put a knight fork on the queen and some other piece so that you will take away several pieces at a time because of your defense and the placement of the opponent's pieces, (to be more precise, all this will force the queen to move so that she gets under the forks). And in the end the queen will have nowhere to retreat, which will be a strong material advantage. For example, legendary move took 2 bishops and a queen. This is just my concept, don't take it seriously.

Hi Levy! I'm wathcing your videos for half a year by now. You inspired me to play chess. I'm a russian guy fled to Armenia from the war 3 years ago. And I watch your vids drunk most of the time after my shift in a bar. It helps me calm down and go to sleep with my wife. Then I wake up and work at my charity project. Yes, I am this kind of guys and I watch your vids. Love you tho

Hello GothamChess! You are very fascinating person. Your level of entertaitment and the way you explain things is unbelievable. I barely understand chess (I know how the pieces move and whats the end goal, thats it) and yet I can watch your videos 20, 30 or even 40m long without feeling bored or uninterested. I dont know how you do it, but you are doing it very well! Keep at it.

Bruh, if you keep burning your bacon, here’s a foolproof guide to getting it crispy and perfect instead of charred and inedible. 1. Choose the Right Bacon • Thick-cut bacon is harder to burn and cooks more evenly. • Thin-cut bacon cooks fast, so you need to watch it closely. 2. Use the Right Cooking Method Stovetop (Best for Quick & Crispy Bacon) • Use a cold pan: Lay the bacon in a single layer before turning on the heat. • Set heat to medium-low: High heat = burnt bacon fast. • Flip often: Every 1-2 minutes to cook evenly. • Remove when golden brown, not blackened. Oven (Best for Evenly Cooked Bacon) • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil. • Lay bacon strips in a single layer (no overlapping). • Bake for 15-20 minutes, checking at the 12-minute mark. • Remove when golden and crispy. Air Fryer (Best for Less Mess & Fast Cooking) • Preheat to 350°F (175°C). • Place bacon in a single layer (don’t overcrowd). • Cook for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway. 3. Remove at the Right Time • Bacon continues to cook after being removed from heat. • Take it off the heat a little before it looks perfect and let it crisp up. 4. Drain Excess Grease • Place cooked bacon on a paper towel to soak up extra oil and keep it crispy. 5. Don’t Walk Away! • Stay near the stove/oven and check frequently. Bacon can go from crispy to burnt in seconds. Follow this, bruh, and your bacon will be perfectly crispy-no more burnt disasters.
