Siemen’s SC44 and ALC42 chargers go down here in the states all the time. I suspect the issue with them is similar to what might have happened with this, always seems to be issues with the Cummins prime movers and the urea exhaust system. I’m surprised with how poorly they’ve performed here that Siemens and Stadler haven’t gone with a different engine manufacturer. The ACS-64’s on the northeast corridor seem to be worlds more reliable, I imagine because they’re purely electric. Love the looks of Stadler’s stuff, especially the GBRf Class 99. Hopefully they get the kinks worked out so they don’t go by the way of the Class 70.

When I worked at ROG we internally had a name for all 30. Don't know if will come to pass, especially as they'll probably be leased to other operators.
