Thanks! clip visions and loras are imported just like checkpoints when I linked my existing ComfyUI installation folder. If you don't already have ComfyUI, then you can move the loras and clip visions to the ComfyUI Desktop's loras and clip visions folder.

Thanks for the video. My experience with the desktop version 0.2.9, too many custom nodes did not install right or installed right but failed to be imported. There is a serious compatibility issues. Then the inability to easy access the terminal was not convenient. I ended up uninstalling it and stick with the portable version.

Out the box, the desktop version is fine. There is some heavy lifting to get the custom nodes to work again due to folder locations.

Interesting. The old portable version was still pretty easy to install form me and I'm not that good with command line stuff. In what ways is this new application better than the current portable version of ComfyUI?

Yes i agree, i have about 5 versions of ComfyUI portable installed with different versions to not break old worksflow. Wonder if that will still be possible with this app. And btw i really hate this new UI they introduced recently, half the time the queue button disappear and i have hard time finding old functions like clear workflow.

Thanks for the feedback. I think they are making it easier for more people to get into ComfyUI. Since the portable version is Windows only, this new app is for both Windows and MacOS. It also comes with the manager already installed.

@@xcom9648 Yes, you can have multiple version of the app by installing it multiple times at different locations. Oh! I noticed the disappearing queue button too. It happens when i resize my browser to a small window and maximizes it again.

There are no confirmed release date so far, unfortunately. It's on an invitation basis for people to test out and report on bugs for now.

Hello, right now, when it comes to generating 512 by 512 images, you can get by with a 3GB VRAM card (including laptops). Although it is not recommended, ComfyUI will work on CPU only if you don't have a GPU.

For ma worse. I mean it is better experience when installing and starting it. But something is worse with performance for me (I have 3080 10GB). For the same workload: 1) Desktop used much more memory during clip (before it starts to generate picture). Desktop take almost 11GB + 1 GB of shared VRam memory. Standard comfy takes only 9 GB and is much much faster in this phase. 2) Picture generation time is almost the same as Pytorch in standard Comfy, but little slower but I guess it can be a minor versions differences). 3) I dont know how to force Xformers Desktop. In Standard Xformers attention are 5-10% faster then PyTorch on my setup.

@@CodeCraftersCorner Yea. BTW: I can install xformers there manually. But still this peek over my VRAM kills the generation time. But i guess it has potential after more optimising and bug fixes. Ps. It also forced me to reinstall like 3 times after I got info about new version and then something crashed and it needs to reinstall :). It was also a pain as you need to delete one folder as it does not want to reinstall on existing:). But it is beta after all :).
