I really enjoyed X-Men #1. I think Jed McKay did a great job giving non long term X-Men readers an idea on the lesser known characters personalities while also still carrying the momentum forward to the new era. And I do see this run being more of the basics of X-Men cuz the MCU has plans soon and wants some familiarity between the two. And for the long term readers that don't want to go back to the basics I think Jed McKay spoke to them through Wolverine. When Wolverine at the end said he doesn't have it in him to do another rebuild and walked away, and cyclops understanding was like Jed McKay saying he knows some won't like it and that's okay.

Interesting to find my opinions diverging from yours a little more than usual...especially on Precious Metal- maybe i just missed a lot of obvious stuff because I can't remember little Bird in much detail anymore.

Yeah some books just hit and that one does for me. I did a little bird reread right before #1. And hey, celebrate our differences!

So many great books this week. hard for me to disagree with most of your rankings. I will say domain disappointed me a lot. After reading the premise i had high hopes but i felt like the story and writing was really goofy. The art was really good and a little funny

Yeah totally agree. And with the other image books being outstanding, it was a no brainier to push it down the scale.
