It looks like Stroodel Goatchese's post may have been shadow banned by fanboys of PB Models, so I'm going to post it here since it deserves to be read. My channel is a "no fanboy zone" and opinions other than fanboys' deserve to be read. Remember, this is a no-famboy zone.

There seems to be some misunderstanding about what a "review" is by both people here and on a particular forum that seems to have driven traffic here.
While it's great that so many people (seemingly Dutch, maybe or maybe not associated with PB Models either directly or indirectly) take pride in their countrymen's achievements, PB Models is not above critique and a company is just that - they exchange money for a product and rely on this money to continue to produce more products (especially as a new company). As a nascent producer they SHOULD welcome critique so that they understand what their customers expect and want from them.
What some less than refined people have misconstrued as "whining", "moaning" and "complaining" are actually known as "critiques" and that is primarily the purpose of a review such as this. If you don't want to hear or read critiques or criticisms or you aren't sophisticated enough to understand the difference between those and "whining", "moaning" or "complaining" then just don't bother with reviews as the entire concept is lost on you - you whining, moaning, complaining dolts.
Dr. Hobby is right to critique the anachronistic shipping policy because as someone who lives in North America this WILL affect me and I'm glad to know what PB Models' response is - it tells me that they don't care if I purchase their models or not. Remember, Dr. Hobby PAID his OWN money for this product and instead of being grateful that someone across the pond wanted to purchase their first model and give them money (something they'll need in the future to produce more models) they were intractable and wouldn't even walk down to the post office to get one of these in his hands and save him the VAT. Their shipping process should take customers outside Europe into account (like any and all modern businesses) and the fact that all they had to offer Dr. Hobby was a terse F.U. message isn't acceptable to me and it's understandable that it wasn't acceptable to him either. After ALL OF THAT Dr. Hobby still PAID for the model when he could have said "just forget it," but since he (according to him) wants to promote small producers he - the customer - did everything to make up for PB Models' lack of attention. TY;DL - he STILL bought the model even though PB Models acted like they couldn't have cared less - he cared more for them than they cared for him. That's a bummer that many American companies don't ship to Europe but that's not HIS problem and that's not what he's concerned with. If you try to get a model from Walthers, Bachmann, etc. and they won't ship it to you in Europe, you have a valid concern. Dr. Hobby doesn't have to drop HIS concern about this because of some tit-for-tat ideal that he has no control over. In fact, I've been to his online store and he offers several overseas shipping options.
He's right - F0 handles the lights, F1 the motor (in European models), F2 the primary horn. If there are more lighting functions they are always far down in the function list. As someone who uses an automated layout this matters to me since I have to create and entirely new profile to handle this non-standard function list. PB Models should welcome this critique and keep it in mind in the future.
He's right - While it's great that there are brake lights the operator should be able to turn them off. Why people don't get this I don't have any idea. PB Models should welcome this critique so they can better understand what their customers want.
He's right - there's nothing interesting or chivalrous about not including literature. Interesting literature is part of what I pay for (especially at the price point PB Models is charging). PB Models should welcome this critique so that they can better understand what their customers want.
He's right - this model is overpriced (from what I saw in the review) and for him it was over 80 Euro overpriced on top of that and he still bought it anyhow, thus helping PB Models produce more models in the future, hopefully ones that are priced more appropriately and ones that ship to the U.S.
He's right - the real thing has multiple motors and it would be neat to hear them in the sound file. Certainly this is a small concession that PB Models could make and even blind, robotic fanboys of PB Models could appreciate?
Looking forward to future, non-biased an honest reviews that ignore the fanboys and hurt idiots who aren't worldly enough to hear ideas that aren't the same as their own.
