Hey Matt, where are all these people working? And what's gonna happen to the agricultural base for Sussex County? More importantly, do you think county commissioners really thought about ALL the environmental impacts massive housing projects will have on local areas?...water drainage from rains, tropical storms, hurricanes etc, sewage treatment, providing water for new residents, and mostly, the lifestyle changes that extra population cause the existing population etc? I really don't think so. Good video, informative . I appreciate you. Thanks.

I cannot speak to whether or not they considered all factors you’ve mentioned, that would be a question for them directly & there is a chance for anyone to speak up any time they have public comments prior to approving new developments. I can’t speak to exactly where people are working, but I know many of the clients I work with are no longer in the work force. 25% of current Sussex county farm lands are in an agricultural trust with the state to where those lands can never be developed & more are added to that every year.

@@MattLunden my comments were mostly rhetorical. As to taking things up with governmental groups, I know it hopeless - been there. As to lifestyle changes when population increases, the town I reside in as gone from 40,000 to 130,000 over 35 years. Big changes, none of which we're thrilled with. Thanks for the information. It's making me rethink retirement choices.

I dont know why people are upset. Delaware is not overcrowded. It will never be. There is a very large older population. If younger people and families dont move here what would happen as the people die off? I dont understand what people are holding on to. Its revenue and a younger working population. The people that retire early and move here are investments in the area.
