I need home repairs and the husband is not the least bit interested. I guess the house will fall apart. It does have mold .

I did some of my own upgrades before drywall, such as installing surround sound speakers in the basement, and installing a network structured media closet. Top upgrades I did include: covered screened in deck, electrical wiring for infrared electric deck heater, which I installed my self after closing, silent dishwasher, lights, soft close doors, oversized 3 car garage, 100A garage subpanel for two 50A car chargers, backup generator hookup, curb cutout to drive way, sidewalk to fenced in trash area, and missile impact safe room connected to basement via a large steel door. Missile impact meaning debris from tornados.

FYI i actually got to use that safe room several weeks ago for an EF3 tornado that was within 1000ft of my house

Wow! Those are some great upgrades! It’s impressive that you did that all yourself. And the safe room is something I’ve been thinking about, mainly for tornadoes also. Looks like it did come in handy for you. Where do you live that you had a tornado?

I can definitely understand the safe room there. Never been to Andover but have been to Kansas twice years ago and had tornado warnings both times. We get them occasionally here in NC but not like there.
