Haha you guys are both amazing haha 😀🍺 Both products seems really fantastic! For me, and my disheveled hairstyle 😂.. I think the cream clay is what I will try. Even though it's a bit smaller than the 3 oz jars he used to have, still, 2.6 oz for 18 bucks is a good price! Plus, free shipping in the the US! So yeah, even though I told myself not to get köré products, I've always loved Steven's new creations, so I'm gonna give it a go with the cream clay. 🍺🍺 Cheers you guys

@Tamas Menyhart - Hey Tamas, I saw your reviews for the Cream Grooming Paste and Cream Hair Clay on the Salon Guy's website. I'm going to purchase some stuff from there today, but wanted to ask you first if you still like these two products? Your reviews were really positive. I have 6" length hair that is very much like Matt's hair. Do you ever combine both products together? Would you say one is lighter and less likely to weigh down the hair? Any advice would be appreciated! I'm looking for something that gives me some texture, volume, but is light and doesn't feel like it is really in the hair.
@tamasmenyhart84834 жыл бұрын
@@Mr-E. so they're both super light in the hair. I would go with the paste with your hair length. The clay is great too, and you can definitely cocktail them. But for longer hair like yours, I'd go with the paste. The clay has a gritty feel to it, the paste feels like there is nothing in your hair and yet, it's controlled and is super easy to style with.

How is (clay)this compared to hustle or clutch?
@TDMStyle4 жыл бұрын
Clutch is waxier and doesn't have the same type of grittiness as this one, since it doesn't have any diatomaceous earth. Hustle for me is less hold (solid medium), natural shine finish, and less dry/gritty as well. I think of the three clays, Hustle might be my favorite still, but it's hard to say. I enjoy them all in different ways.

Hard to say as they behave so differently. PreGame starts out feeling heavy and waxy and then after a few hours becomes light and totally matte. This one has instant set time and a solid medium-firm hold and natural to matte finish after about 20 seconds of styling.

Cost of manufacturing differences
@TDMStyle4 жыл бұрын
Cost of production for lab made products vs. home brew products are massively different. That’s why most big name salon brand products of similar size are generally $26+
@NkB9844 жыл бұрын
@@TDMStyle I definitely see that but I'm surprised that homebrewed products aren't the more expensive ones given all the nice and healthy oils and stuff that's in there. Home brewed also probably can't achieve the economies of scale (which drives down cost) that a big lab manufacturer can.
@TheSalonGuy4 жыл бұрын
Louis de Pointe du Lac I’m pretty much over home brewed stuff. I prefer working with chemists. It took 4-5 reformulations on my Crafted paste along with tons of other issues and wasted batches. There are for sure benefits and Cody who helped make these was super amazing, I just don’t foresee doing any more on the homebrewing end of things.

@TDMStyle4 жыл бұрын
Haha, I hear that man. That's exactly how mine is if I don't use some kind of smoothing product as a prestyler and blow it out smooth. So maybe you just need some smoothing product before blow drying! Also if you're using a cheaper/harsher shampoo and conditioner, that might be contributing to the dryness as well. Hope this helps!
