This is my second year of watching you participate in Autism on the Seas & seeing your experience & hearing about the program makes me tear up (happy tears)! As someone who is also disabled (& loves cruising) I am beyond glad that there is such a great program and opportunity for those with Autism. Love seeing my favorite cruise line do all of this Royal Caribbean is great with disabled guests, but seeing this extra step just warms my heart ❤❤

So funny when Abbie stopped the young lady from leaving their little floating pool. Asa quick reflexes on stopping Abbie from hurting her self with the door, Abbie sure got mad, is it worth showing Abbie how to close it safely. Autism on the seas is such a wonderful organisation, and the fact they do respite when Abbie does not want to attend things, but the rest of you can enjoy is awesome. Blessings.

Do you have APD support? If you don’t you should. There are tons of resources out there, especially in Florida, that allow you to have things like child care, respite, and medical devices. Go here and get started apd.myflorida.com/

@@melissad7681 There is a waiting list however the longer you wait, the longer before you get it. We were on the list for years but I couldn’t imagine not having it now. There are also times the governor clears the list and gives everyone services. That’s what happened years ago.

I know this is 2 days old and I normally watch everyday…things have been crazy for me these last 2 weeks (yay for multiple jobs). I actually paused the video at 5:03 so I could comment without being distracted. The fact that Abbie threw a little temper tantrum when she was about to shut the balcony door on her fingers made me laugh. I drive special needs school bus and sometimes Abbie reminds me of some of my students.

This cruise has 5 families with AOTS. The last one had 30 families. The ship holds 5700 people though. It’s a regular cruise with AOTS integrated into it.

@@Five0Five I see. I have seen several wheel chair users on this cruise and by my assessment of the rolling space and transitions I think it is. The only high transition is going into our restroom in the cabin but that might not be the case in every room.
