Man, such a great job CT Toys have been doing, but I feel like the scaling down is a turn off. It didn't bother me with the Tobey figures because he's my fave, but I wish this one was taller.

I wish they were in scale too....However, if CT keeps putting these out at 20 bucks a figure..they're gonna end up getting their own shelf. Plus this guy will be posed in a swinging pose with my other Mafex figures so you can probably easily fudge it in. I have all the Mafex X-Men.. but if CT can do brown suit Wolverine he MAY replace my tiger stripe Wolverine as I think Mafex scaled their Wolverine figures a bit too tall. I am normally a pretty big stickler for scale but I feel it's ok for Spidey to be a little on the "smaller" side especially when compared to many of his villains.

Honestly it's most egregious on the tobeys. Their 2099 is actually even closer to proper scale than the official. They all look fantastic posed up anyway, just a turn off when you stand them up next to other figures

@@owene2530 I think I'm actually gettin the Mafex bootlegs anyways. They're based off Mark Bagley's art so they would make excellent for a Ultimate Spider-Man section on my shelf.

My only request is that CT stops scaling them down. I'm not sure if they can control that but if they can I hope they scale future figures up to fit in with marvel legends 1/12 scale

I think they also scale it down for legal purposes, so they have some defense that it's not an exact copy of the mafex lol but that's just my guess

They do look pretty good, but my black suit Tobey had terrible joints and the arm broke off instantly so I’m a bit hesitant to try their other ones

As a person who also lives in the UK, this is the only option for Mafex. Say imports are as good as you want, but £120 for a single Marvel figure that isn’t Legends is crazy…

You haven't discovered nin nin or Ami Ami have you? Mafex figures are £55 roughly on those two sites. 1000¥ is about £5. Only problem is shipping is nearly £10+ due to it being Japan based. But if you order two figures or more you can spread that cost out so it's not as bad if you get me. If you order from Ami Ami the best delivery option is air packet registered(?) it's the one that says 2-4 weeks and is the cheapest without a horrible timeframe for delivery. Basically you can get most mafex and SHF for £50-60 from those sites

I got mine and its pretty decent. I love that they made the torso a soft plastic instead of hard like the official. Helps prevent paint rub. My only realy gripe is the waist pops off pretty easy when articulating. Its really annoying. Ct toys has a lot of potential to get better. Like demoniacal fit. They started off pretty weak and now feel close to the real figure

@Saiyan1229 yea I've had the waist pop off but it's not been bad at all, the worst for me has been trying to swap the neck parts! I've given up as it's made the suited neck very loose but that's been my only issue 👌

Mine is on the way, but holy hell that blue shading reeeeeeaaaaaaally pops! The spider logo doesn't even appear to be the least bit fuzzy. If any of those rumors you just mentioned are true.... I'm gonna go broke dropping 20 bones here and there lol. Hurry up and do that Knightfall Batman :p Don't apologize for getting bootlegs. Seriously, most of the Mafex shit is sold out and really.. what's the difference between buying the CT Toys version or spending double the retail price on eBay or Mercari? Hell if you can't get Mafex figures on import sites then even BBTS sells them at almost double their Japanese price. I paid like 70 for MAFEX Gambit off Hobby Japan when he went up for PO.. meanwhile BBTS had him up for around 100+ No not double the price but still a markup. If a knock off is good.. I'm buying it. I don't care. Hell I have several BaiWei movie Transformers because Hasbro can't be bothered with actually making enough of the figures nor can they figure out how to work distribution. If someone gives you shit about it.. Ignore it lol.

the artists/sculptors, the actual creators of the figures get no kickback from increased sales. They get paid a set commission price for their work, and then a corporation can reproduce that figure endlessly making and endless stream of money, the artist seeing none of it. The corporation is the only one stood to gain, and they already make enough off them, its just a great alternative for people who can't afford the real thing, and a great way for more people to appreciate the work of the artists that brough the figures to life. I support it, need something to keep capitalist corporations in check so that competitive pricing remains pertinent for consumers.

That’s the main Spider in my collection as of right now, and I really want a Black Suit figure but want one that will scale pretty well. @shiestysean902 hey man! Yeah the bootlegs are getting insane 👌 tbh AliExpress is similair to eBay where I'd recommend just checking on seller reviews, I've personally never had any issues but I try stick to sellers with around 4/5 stars

Bro you should check sentinel iron spider it is kinda a what if thing like if toby maguire Spiderman got the iron spider suit unfortunately the figure is pretty rare so you could get the bootleg of it the bootleg is also nice

120 pounds? Japanese retail was around 10000 yen on the rerelease.

@infamousair45 I tried to pick one up from the Japanese sites but it was incredibly difficult and kept selling out instantly haha but even with their pricing 10 000 yen is around 50 pounds and then with shipping and tax your then talking around 80 pounds which is definitely a much better price but I wasn't able to get one even with alerts on 🤣 UK retailers were 120!
