Congrats on 1K subs! Great video, thank you for trying it out and your honest review. I have found for my hair regardless of shampoo/cleanser that i tend to have better results in general double cleansing. I use a typical amount for first cleanse and find that i can use half (or even 1/3) of the product second cleanse and still get a good lather. Probably the only exception is using a chelate shampoo, I'll either skip the second cleanse or use a much gentler/moisturizing cleanser for second cleanse. Thanks again for the review!

Glad you enjoyed the review. When I'm not testing brands, I like to double cleanse with a cowash first, then follow with my regular cleanser. I like to use a cowash because it lightly cleanses, while softening and helping detangle a little before I go in with a regular shampoo or clarifier.

Simply Curly DE, I apologize that I am a slow typer, so I'm answering your question here. I hate to say this offers the best frizz control ever, but if I were to judge the lime in it's entirety from Curlsmith, this ome is my favorite. I really like some things from the Strength Recipe and Scalp Recipe, but not everything from those lines. I hope this helps.

Great video! Would love to try this line. Maybe Black Friday will have a deal. Congrats again on the 1k subs! Blessings!

I know you are glycerin sensitive in the warmer months, so it might be helpful to know that the gel does contain glycerin about half down the ingredients list. As always, thanks for watching. 🙂

Thanks for trying this line. I found that Curlsmith is very love/hate with my hair. Would you mind trying the Paul Mitchell Tea Tree Curl products? I like that you have a balanced approach to products. Keep up the great work! ❤

Yes, I totally understand the love/hate relationship. Thank you for the recommendation of the Paul Mitchell Tea Tree Curl products. I will look into the possibility of doing a review in the coming year. My husband actually uses the shampoo from this line and loves it. I wasn't aware that they had anything curly hair specific. I see a leave-in and a shaping cream; is that what you were referring to? Or just the shampoo and conditioner?

Thank you for your reply! I’m glad I’m not the only one who isn’t in love with every curlsmith product. It always feels like curly hair influencers love every curlsmith product and I’m stuck wondering why they don’t work well for me. There’s the taming cream and a curl refresh foam. A gel would have to be from their non-curl specific line.

Love thr green line. For my fine silver curls. Willl I will buy it again ! Don’t think so, I love purple line and orange line

Interesting! Like you, I like Curlsmith's green line, and several products from the purple line. I haven't had too much experience with the orange line (just the souffle and hard hold gel).

Appreciated this video. Your hair is beautiful. Do you wear it up at night? And what do you do to refresh in the morning?
@lifeoffinecurls11 ай бұрын
Most nights I wear my hair in a satin bonnet. If you don't like the idea of wearing something on your head, I'd recommend using a satin pillow case, and just lift your curls up when you lay down so more of you neck exposed to the pillow case rather than laying directly on your curls. I rarely refresh for several reasons. One, I often use hairspray (when not filming), and for me that often eliminates the need to daily refresh. Two, I'm not good at refreshing (the hairspray may factor into that). When my curls start to get stretched out or frizzy, I pull my hair up in a messy bun until I wash it. And I usually wash my twice a week (sometimes more in the summer). Hope this helps! 😀

Thanks for sharing your results for several days that really helps… ummm I don’t know what kind of sorcery that Curlsmith is doing with this line 😁😂 I’m good think I think I will stick with Mielle’s antifrizz line, more my budget. I wish Curlsmith would reintroduce their hair vitamins, instead of creating more lines and discontinuing them … now those really worked and it was an amazing product. Just my thoughts

I understand sticking with the more affordable option, which I've not tried that line from Mielle. I've also never tried Curlsmith's vitamins. I am glad that you found this video helpful though.

Congratulations on 1K🎉 HOW do you feel about the sodium hydroxide in most CurlSmith products?
@VengefulAngeI Жыл бұрын
Sodium hydroxide is used to raise the pH balance of products. Conditioners are naturally acidic, but too acidic is not good. It's used in small quantities to raise the pH, you wouldn't want it **not** in there. It gets a bad rep because it's used in relaxers, but it's used in much higher quantities. Water is also used in relaxers but no one worries about that. It's all about the dose.

Thanks for helping me get to the 1K! As far as ingredients in products, I am by no means an expert. There is a certain level of general trust that I place with these brands, and that combined with my experience lead me to not feel the need to over analyze ingredients. I often look at some of the tip ingredients to get an idea for maybe how moisturizing or strengthening it may be, or if it may be too heavy for my hair, but that usually the extent of it.

I was so excited to see this new lineup until i realized coconut butter is in every product😢 My hair hates coconut oil, & i figured it probably wouldn't like coconut butter either since it's essentially oil as a solid. I bought the conditioner only, thinking I'd maybe like that but no. My hair was very hard to detangle and after rinsing it out, it felt exactly like i used a product with coconut oil (an almost waxy feel that's hard to explain along with a lot of wet frizz). I can see that these are probably going to be gray for a lot of people, unfortunately it just isn't great for my hair🤷🏽♀️
@lifeoffinecurls Жыл бұрын
I'm sorry that you have that problem with coconut products. I remember you saying something about that before. I will try and be mindful of that when I come across products I'm reviewing that don't have coconut in them.
