The sequential assembly mechanic is absolutely one of the defining features of Create and adding custom recipes to tailor it your playthrough is a huge way to add complexity and interest and a reason to build contraptions. Nice work!!

someone on the create mod reddit said that someone said on a discord server said that they use figura to make a custom remodel of an elytra and then use a datapack to add the crafting recipe. They also said that there are licensing issues, which prohibit a public release. Take this info with a grain of salt, but its still probably better to not get your hopes up to much ....

The original ornithopter designer made it for bedrock. Figura was used to adapt it to Java The original designer only gave permission to use the design for this particular series, so unless they change their mind about that, it sadly won't be released.

personally, in my own world, I've been setting up fully automated "public transit" trains that have a series of stops, and rather than waiting for x number of players they instead wait at each passenger station for 2 minutes. Along with that, I have resource trains for resources that can only be gotten from specific areas (for example, I'm using a separate mod to change how ore generation works such that each ore is in relatively sparse, *very large* deposits that are slowly being mined out). These trains run on the same rail network, so to allow for that there's two parallel rail lines on each stretch of track which are one-way, and each has signals spaced to be just as far apart as my longest train is long.

Zedvancement Idea: Rags to Riches: Starting with a piece of leather armor, trade with other Hermits until you have 64 diamonds (or some predetermined amount of wealth) from trading. You may only trade using the original leather armor, or things you've traded, and may not add additional goods and services to a trade. Traded items may be placed and broken (like placing stone, and breaking it into cobblestone), but plants may not be grown (you can't place a sapling, then grow it into a tree, and then add the tree's items to the traded items pile). You are allowed to craft, and brew using only traded items, but you may not trade with villagers (can't trade with villagers because there are infinite emerald loops). Determine for yourself if Piglin bartering is allowed or not. When trading with Hermits, they must know what they're purchasing (no pulling a rotten flesh for two stacks of diamonds like Grian/Keralis did). You may not accept donations, or unreasonably unbalanced trades, and all trades must be of similar enough value that no party appears to be getting scammed.

For storage on the nugget compactor I would maybe suggest using vaults instead of chests so to help alleviate the the overflow problem although I’m not certain how you work that in to a Flactory but just a suggestion! ☺️

Maybe an Advanced Skadoodler would have a similar recipe, but the addition of a precision clockwork mechanism, for multiple uses. Each use would degrade the tool until it breaks, but you could get something like 16 boosts out of it.

You know, it would be really cool if there was an extremely high tier version of the ornithopter that could be powered/durability negated by storing create stress, much like the backpack tanks for the cannons, and has the same properties as one (like merging the two together, so you could use the potato cannons regularly). Then you could have a disposable stress tank to recharge it and skadoodlers could boost the speed even further (kind of like a higher level rocket would).

For the train station issue, make a track for each direction, north/south line, east/west line, then it can be in a continuous loop. That's how guys design layouts. Just widen the entrance and have 2 lines coming in.

Great video. 😊 I suggest you have the skadoodler factory be its own separate building. It should be tall and skinny and inside out. The components should start at the top and work their way down like one of those marble and ramp toys. Each process is on it’s own where the components are transported between by some crazy method. When I mean inside out, the outside of the building, including the grand entrance, would face a central courtyard with the output shooting upwards out of a central fountain to spill all over the flagstone. 😊

Zed you can put metal girders or slabs in your offhand as you build sections of tracks and it will auto place under the tracks. The girders will also bend as the tracks do for any elevated sections

You can get Nether Quartz from washing soul sand (being made in the main factory) BDubs and Tango are working on blaze farm to make redstone. Stir them together with a mixer and you have rose quartz. Sand from the factory and sugarcane pressed into paper to make sandpaper. Feed the sandpaper into a deployer and run the rose quartz under it with a deployer/belt to make polished, then craft it together with plates to make electron tubes.
