So the only difference betwwen z and z2 is the lieflat is now supported in car? Take it its only a base change and a seat rebrand? Does this need extra room in rear seat?

@Philip Shaw It was not the question :) The quesion was whether Cloud Z2 will work with the old Z base, allowing semi-flat position

@@ukaszprzybysz7650 I suppose no. I have cloud z and the base for the z series. They changed everything so you must buy all for the new series. Considering the cost of the base it's not a fair move to change all the system. Really, to change everything only for one important feature only, the semi-flat position, it's absurd. I hope they can clarify compatibility. It's should be fine if it's only the base to change to use the semi-flat position of the cloud-z with the new base.

@@DomenicoIntrona cloud-z doesn't have a semi flat position lock in the seat at all. I have bought the new z2 seat to verify the compability with the old base and it does lock into the base, but doesn't allow for semi-flat position as the old base shape conflicts with the seat if you try to do it. This is quite ridiculous.

@@ukaszprzybysz7650 Myabe I wans't clear :) it has a semi flat position if installed on a stroller (like the melio stroller I have right now). When I set the seat in car on the old base z it can't be installed in semi flat position. I was hoping if I could change only the base for the new one to use the cloud z seat. But I suppose no (cybex wants we buy everything new :) )

An increased recline. It now spins from the side rather than the front. Improved design. :)
