Cool. Your front seats aren't stock fyi. Nice little ride. You want an M90, the T-5 is bs. There's a guy in poland who sells a billet spacer for about 100 usd so you can run the m90 without having to lengthen your driveshaft. Although the m90 should have come with the b230ft or b230fk if it was a manual 940 donor. Check that out. If that is the case the trans should hold all the boost you can throw at it, more than a T5. One look at the belhousing will tell you what's in there either the m47 or the m90. The m47 is less weak than people say. Just don't clutch dump at 5k on the dry on a hot day....A good MBC shouldn't be giving you boost creep, check hoses and other common sense sources. Other than that looks like what you need next is a posi or an lsd for tasy 11's. cheers
@new_spin7 жыл бұрын
David Q oh I know the seats are from an E34 5 series BMW haha And M90s are veeeery far and few between here in the US. I already know this is an M47, and have a T5 and swap kit bought already haha. It'll be fine for what I need, and the allows for a TKO to bolt right up later on when I get to a higher power level. For now the T5 is a perfect fit, and with the Yoshifab parts it's all bolt in with a Foxbody driveshaft.
@new_spin7 жыл бұрын
David Q and I also know I have a locker diff as well. I finally got ahold of the PO and got the whole lowdown. It also works fine for what I need for now, later on I plan on an 8.8 swap. That'll be more than enough.
@DQ817 жыл бұрын
oh sweet. Yeah m90's. I wanted to ship a bunch out there but it's not cost effective. T5's are plentiful. I need two actually, don't ask lol. I have several m90's on the shelf as spares but have yet to break one. Building a 245 with b230fk, adding a 14t or 15g and a 531 head, maybe a vx cam although I want torque. It's the "familly" daily. Love me a volvo. Also have a 67 wagon t5r build in progress. Congrats on a rad ride and good on getting the history!

Living in south sweden, i have 7 of those 240 and a few 245, one with the 631 engine. If you find one with that engine in it, then that is a chance of doing over 400 bhp.....

Why the ratchet strap across the throttle cable? Looks like an accident waiting to happen. There are other solutions to the engine mounts, such as changing them every 5 k miles. Looks like a manual mirror swap too.
