@@damagedaudio i dont really fuck with behringer like that, i was just talking about how weaver doesn’t know what a B3 is. @@officialMXH Understood, I do agree there's a difference between baseball game organ and church organ and maybe should have been clarified / noticed in judgement, but again maybe he alone just doesn''t mess with either instrument, organ is a very acquired taste, especially the clavinet

To explain "why" with Audiocube: VR, "Atmos", and all those 3D sound devices have pretty obtuse tools, especially when tweaking different HRTFs, I know this isn't for you and is poorly explained, but has the potential and so thank you for talking about it.
@alsoulmusic2 ай бұрын
Just to add on, this product seems to be targeted at people who want to do immersive projects without the extra layers that current daws like Cubase are forced to have because they were originally created to do stereo mixing. So it isn’t needed by everyone and would not appeal to people using software that does not currently provide any immersive mixing options (like Ableton live). So no it isn’t a gimmick.

The computer keyboard keys are based on the TR-909/RD-9, they actually are good for live use. The auto scroll feature allows you to keep track of where you are in the bar's progression. It's the little lights that illuminate on those computer keys, playing live without them would be quite annoying. The BD-9 is actually quite a cool little unit.

Honestly the 3D environment thing is cool as fck, needs a timeline to work on, 3D shapes with materials and thickness for walls and easy ways to record, with regular panning usually you don't get any reflections in the opposite ear which would happen in real life, so imagine you wanted to make recordings sound more acoustic and live with phase interactions happening in a 3D environment, this would be a way to do it, I would prefer the space was just a plugin with a blend knob personally though and you could use side chain to route multiple instruments into it, not a whole damn daw

Audiocube is pretty novel and innovative. It looks more like an advanced research project - something those in academia and electroacoustic music would be well into. In its current form, it's more for the esoteric musicians, but some of the higher level ideas will trickle down into the more mainstream over time. Might not be palatable to you right now, but certain principles and ideas will become the norm either musically or technologically (maybe eventually, if there is any merit to it). That said, the idea of sound objects in a 3D space is already a thing: Dolby Atmos.

Could you cover the Ghost synthesizer by Exacoustics? I saw Dan Larsson(Letsynthesize) cover it and I personally have mixed feelings about it.
