Hey Tay! I was looking forward to this DC theory talk video. It's like history in the making! And you brought the same research, knowledge and energy to it like you do with all of your MCU content. Outstanding debut for the DCU Tay! Growing up in the mid 1970s all the way up to 18 years old in 1992, my favorite superheroes were Superman, Batman, Spider-Man, The Incredible Hulk and Wonder Woman. But I wasn't able to collect comics books consistently to follow all of those characters. But I followed them through cartoons, live action TV shows and eventually movies with Christopher Reeve's Superman and Michael Keaton's Batman in 1989. Then in the spring of 1992 as an 18 year old, I overheard a couple of coworkers at a part time job I had talking about a comic called 'What If.....Wolverine Was Lord of the Vampires?' I said to myself: "Wolverine with the metal claws." "And he's a vampire too?" And because of my fascination with vampire characters and films, that peaked my interests to go out and find that Wolverine comic. You see, I had very limited knowledge about the X-Men growing up. I'd see pictures of them or stickers of Wolverine here and there. There were even a couple of episodes from the 'Spider-Man And His Amazing Friends' cartoon where the X-Men guest starred. But I never bought an X-Men comic nor many other comics up until spring1992. So that's how I got into the X-Men. With the early 1990s X-Men Mutant Genesis led by Chris Claremont, Jim Lee, Scott Williams, Rob Liefeld, Whilce Portacio, Marc Silvestri, Art Thibert, Fabian Nicieza, Andy Kubert and Joe Quesada and others, the X-Men characters quickly became my favorites. From spring 1992 through the fall of 1993, I was consistently buying X-Men related comics every other day and every week. Something I wasn't able to do growing up on Chicago's west side where there were no comic book stores save a couple of nearby newsstands and not able to travel to distant and different areas to find comic book stores. I know this was pretty long. But I guess the point is I grew up loving both DC and Marvel characters and the fact we've been consistently getting films over the last 45 years with Superman 1978 up to Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, we're in a pretty phenomenal era seeing our childhood heros from comics and animation get fully realized in films on the big screen, television and streaming. Whatever you drop Tay, I'm down with it.

I think with what we been given with the current slate gun is setting up the "Endgame" but also setting up Event Films/Projects like for the 1st chapter hes deff setting up JL Dark other projects like Blackest Knight and saving Kingdom Come & Crisis for JL Films/"Endgame" films

I think the crossover event for Chapter One will actually be new frontier, he’s teased it a few times, I think the kingdom come thing is just an image there using to say there making plans. The galactic mystery in the green lantern series I actually think is the center. All the heroes will unite to stop the center in New frontier so like, Superman, batman, the flash, aquaman, Wonder Woman, blue beetle, the suicide squad, creature commandos, the authority

Batman brave and the Bold sounds amazing. The idea of Bruce raising and guiding a mass murderer down an altruistic path gives me Dexter vibes. detective guiding a serial killer to kill serial killers kinda story minus the killing. Never quite sure you can trust your own son because he kinda resembles a young antichrist. He might strangle you with a cordless phone the second you turn around lmao.

Great content. Enjoyed the step away from marvel. Only thing i can say about dc is if they dont replace the flash, im not watching any movies. The current take on the flash should not have kept a violent and aggressive person on the set, qnd should have replaced or gotten the entertainer help before multiple cases were too much for the company to sweep under the rug.

DCU is very iffy for me. Seems like way too much focus on small obscure characters. In order for it to work it needs BIG stakes. It needs to leave the danger and drama hanging so it resonates instead of running it all with jokes. Gunn did much better with GOTG but is had a weird flow. All the jokes felt old and tired. And aside from it trying to be a bit more dramatic, it wasn't anything new. Drax's family never mentioned, Quils best friend is rocket? Wth? Groot and Rocket barely had any connection and didn't touch on their backstory at all. It didn't seem very focused. I hope DC is a fine combo of DCEU and MCU while improving on the flaws of both.

You should have covered the SnyderVerse. The mythology, the layered characters existing in a morally gray area, and the themes made for a more mature audience. fyi the snyderverse consist of MOS, BVS, ZSJL, and the first WW film is an honorable mention since Snyder produced it and wrote the story.

Gunn fucked up. The new univerise is a literal merge of the 90s verse the Synderverse and the Kara verse. It doesnt make sense only those 2 chacaters get cherry picked to be pulled in and not the entire setting. I mean they clearly act like nothing happened as if the Earth their on was the Earth theyve been forever. Its not until Barry tells them they arent suppoused to be there all confused like. So wouldnt the general public and more chacaters from the verse they came from be just as confused as Barry. But then Kara and 90s Bruce die. But their verses are still part of this new verse which also includes the Synder. Lastly, Speedforce cannot reach into the Sphere of Gods, so Darkseid would still come. He is outside the countless different univeries and there's just one Darkseid. But that would requrie comicbook lore. What Barry basically sid was weaken the Bleed, the seperarion between verses. Magic and gods is above it, being in their own place. So Gunn has to pick up where Flash left off fast or else thid film becomes irrelevant, just pure fanservice. Like Shazam already introduced a way to explore multiple realtiies through magical doors aka another reboot could have happened with that idea. You just said Booster Gold is a time travel movie. So the multiverse should be affected again. Reboot is easy. Multiverse one thats more fan service is harder. Like im be asking why is the Sucide Squad still partaking in the Synderverse but there's a brand new everyone else except Synder Barry. Still the same SS unless they go holy shit this isnt the same Earth guys. Ok very last thing. Themyscira prequel is stupid.
