One small detail that wasn't mention that you see in the animation is that, when the Black Templar impales a flayed one with his sword, he presents the body to the Crimson Fist for him to fire on, this is because the bolter of the Crimson Fist is most likely loaded with Antiphasic shells, a special kind of bolter round, in use by the deathwatch that prevents a necron's inner systems from triggering their fail safe and teleporting the body away for repairs, it's one of the many tools the deathwatch uses, and also may be why the Crimson Fist took the final shot, to make sure the body of the Destroyer Lord would not phase away to be repaired.

The Guardsman, wide-eyed, looks at the Space Marines and whispers, "Any of you got a plan?" The Templar replies, "Purge them in the Emperor's name." The Fist, "Time to reduce these xenos to scrap metal." The Wolf grins, "Don't worry, Guardsman, I hope you like a good fight." The Guardsman panics, "What should I do?!" @Counterpoints40k You forgot to mention the reason why the crimson fist always took the last finishing shot or double tapping an already dead necron. The reason for that is a special bolt round(Antiphasic Shells) made to stop necrons from phasing back to their tomb world when taking critical damage or mortal damage so their conscience can be placed in a new body. This round stops that from happening forcing them to stay dead permanently instead of being placed in another body. Necrons are not immortal per se because if they cannot phase shift back to the tomb world after a mortal wound, what ever is left in that head will die like its current body unable to back itself up. The bodies itself act as a external SSD with their main data, mean while the bodies in the tomb world only hold their backup EMPTY externals. If they cannot retrieve the main external with its data then that necron is now permanently dead.

One minor correction. The other chapters use adolescents for initiates to recieve the gene seed, but spacewolves use young men that are ready to fight for their clans. This means the numbers are smaller of those who survive the procedure. They take those that have faught the best amongst the mortally wounded in accordance to the beliefs of fenrisians that the ALL- Father takes the greatest to be one of his skywarriors and the rest go to valhalla. This is why spacewolves, on the early tabletop are a step up from other chapters. Their tactical squads were the equivalent of elite tactical squads and had choice of better gear. Im not sure if primaris are like that because im a horus heresy guy.

GW must have recently rewritten the lore for the flayed ones. In the old lore, when the Necrons took the fight to the C'tan, they destroyed one known as The Flayed One. C'tan being gods of the materium, when one gets destroyed, it rewrites the universe. When they destroyed The Flayed One, it infected a portion of them with the flayer curse, which when combined with their desire to return to flesh and blood, it drove them to peel the skin and flesh from their victims and drape it over themselves. There is currently a Necron dynasty that is almost entirely flayed ones that resides in the Ghoul Stars(I believe).
@ArminaticsVoiceArtistАй бұрын
That lore is still true with the death of the flayer. In the twice dead king books the main characters father Unas was there and one of those to slay it. Thus his kingdom became fully of flayers later. And valgul in the ghoul stars leads the remains of Unas house.

It covers the most important chapters, you learn about the inquisition, a lot of the xeno's stuff, and can even talk about really old stuff like the horus heresy. I wish Space Marine 2 had been a deathwatch game instead of Ultramarines. That intro was so good. Deathwatch is also the perfect setting to show the differences between the different space marine chapters

None of the marines in trouble unless they didn't draw on their experience. Will say this though ...no firstborn ..... Tbh ...this is what I imagine first born dealing with it to be like .... Imperial Guard are the regular army. They are the mass of the Imperial forces and come with huge numbers and a lot of heavy equipment, like artillery and mass armor. Their basic weapon, the Lasgun, is not like an assault rifle. It is more like the M1 Garand used in WW2. It fires a pretty powerful light armor piercing laser shot that is accurate and range and has great ammo economy. It's no Boltgun, but 100 Lasguns firing en mass can ruin most anyone. The Space Marines are more like Special Forces. Rather than make war against millions of Orks, their strength is in hitting strategic targets with concentrated force. For example, they might drop into the HQ of an enemy and murder the whole command structure.
