Also, as a fellow science knower, I'm gonna check out that Kickstarter!\ ANYWAY, I for one think you should ONLY do longform content; that you are not already on a 1 hour minimum format is the biggest reason I can say to you COME ONNN I can see a staged photo when I see it, I know you don't "read" or do "background/prep work" for your content because our opinions line up too well, and I just got into the fandom. I'm 100% kidding, but PLEASE consider looking into more longform stuff. I really enjoy your work and would love to have more, not least because it's clear you are knowledgeable of the lore as well as the tabletop, you do the research/prep on the material, and you splice in edits to catch any errors. Hearing that last bit about the warband gunning it for Terra after he got his sister's skull back makes me think Rakul was going to effectively use Terra to commit the galaxy's most brutal, bloodsoaked suicide imaginable. After that point, after Ophelia VII was nought but ashes, what else was really there to do but reunite with his beloved sister in death, and in the only way a champion of Khorne knew how. That or he just wanted to burn all remaining sanctums of the Sororitas to the ground, which were all on Terra....

Kol won. He got his sister's skull back and it sounded like all he wanted was to find a place to die as one can imagine by a declaration to charge terra. He lost everything and gained a satisfaction that always left him wanting. So he checked off his bucketlist and tried to go out on blaze of glory. At least that's what I understand. We're getting Primarch number 6. We got a minor Chaos God. We got the Silent King. We got the King of Bones and the two most popular Necrons playing with C'tan shards. We have the Eldar quest to do a shash and grab from Slanesh. We have Ghaz deciding being dead just won't do and becoming pretty much an avatar of Gork and Mork. We have a Chaos Saint. We probably have a bunch more stuff that I'm not even aware of. Ether GW is really cooking and we're in for something really massive or they're just throwing things at the wall and seeing what sticks. My worry is that it's the latter. Vashtor and the Silent King actually have models and had whole mission decks and even a game mode centered around them and then nothing. Twice dead king was well received and the Infinite and the Divine was a straight up hit, selling more than any book in the black library exept Horus Heresy 1. No follow up. Trazyn didn't even get a new model. Then we have all the stuff that's lore only. If there's no plastic to sell I don't think they're going to focus on expanding the lore.

If this was a normal story the death of saints would find peace in death with his sister and maybe die peacefully in the end. Since this is 40K and Khorne is involved I totally see the girl he helped get into trouble and then Khorne kicking open the doors and having the death of saints murder anyone who tried to harm her. Especially if she ends up being a chaos war band leader. I mean he got a Helldrake as a guard dog to ensure nobody tried to cheat a win by backstabbing him in his sleep. I can see the same deal if the girl gets higher up in the ranks.

I checked out at "Khorne worshipping Night Lords". The 8th Legion views the worship of ANYTHING as WEAKNESS. It's been lore since 2nd edition. The "new Decimus" is DECIMUS. Cmon ADB, write the book already.

That's just not true. Like sure some in the legion do view it as that but just as many eagerly embrace the blessings of chaos Night lords are a diverse bunch and I feel like lumping them into just one category really limits them

I dunno bout second edition, but following the Night Lords trilogy, it's a massive point of debate between them. You have some Khorne worship, that is despised by their brothers, but is part of their fracture soul. The idea that desperate warbands would form different fractured traditions and opinions on the chaos gods, seems a reasonable one. Hell there's a straight up demon in those books commanding.

The Night Lords aren't a monolith... a few prominent, now deceased, figures in their ranks see it as weakness, but the vast majority of them worship chaos. Even in the omnibus Talos' squad alone has 2 chaos worshippers and they were originally led by a daemon, The Exalted. The biggest known Night Lord warband is led by a daemon prince, Krieg Acerbus. The Painted Count is also a daemon prince and leads one of the biggest warbands also.

I’m still sour at Kol Rakhul’s death. Imagine the chemistry between him and Huron Blackheart. God, he even had the father-daughter dynamic juxtaposed with Abaddon. And since he’s spearheading his own independent crusade type war he’d be able to interact with other, wider factions and war bands. The character interactions and world building would be phenomenal.

Haven't read the book, but I love the fact that a night lords character might be responsible for a "dark saint". It really feels like the sort of direction the chapter needs. They're insane, corrupted, brutal, evil gangsters and monsters... But occasionally a glimmer of nobility, honor, humanity and fraternity still shines through. Like their Primarch, they're broken and it's a tragedy because they could have been some of the greatest the empire had. They can still easily be the most 'human' of the chaos factions. So having them start to organize and rally a "dark imperium" or non-chaos "dark faith" underneath them is an exciting direction. The Night Lords have wanted to rebuild their legion, achieve proper strength, stand in uncorrupted glory once more and to be respected, more than any legion than say the iron warriors. An "uncorrupted" but still dark faith underneath them could help them so much with these goals, by giving them direction and purpose outside of the "strong leaders" tribalism.
