I feel like I should clarify something! When I was talking about MGS / Hitman at the beginning, I wasn't trying to imply that the games are flawed because enemy opinions don't persist across levels. I just wanted to explain that Yandere Sim has a drastically different premise than other stealth games, so it can't have some of the same mechanics. I love MGS and Hitman, though!

Why don't the delinquents get the first punishment? If the player were to have a high reputation among the school and get into a fight it would only be fair they be given a second chance, as a normal being would probably think the delinquent started the fight seeing as this is pretty much a "Good student" vs "Why are these evil ass kids even here" situation

Thats not really the case in my school at least if theres a fight and one of the people are a "good student" the the good student gets the worst punishment because they want to make sure the student remains a good student and scare them into not being a bad student. If your already a bad student and get into a fight then your just put in classes with idiots or detention and give you a tracker and warnings all the time. Idk if this is normal its probably just a american or specially in the west kinda thing

jessi kjehdys I'm not sure on the norm, but I know in Japan, they are a conforming country. Most schools will try to keep problematic students to a minimum. Punishing the good student would add more troublesome students to the list, and thus, give the school a lower reputation. Especially if it's a top student with a high reputation themselves. It could even lead to a scandal. I agree more with OP, since at the very least, the first fight/offense shouldn't lead to yandere-chan getting into trouble (unless she has a low rep). It would be more "obvious" that the bad kid tried to start shit. Especilly since these delinquents carry weapons, thus, would be more inclined to be violent.

jessi kjehdys it was the same in my highschool too, but here popular Ayano gonna be expelled, while the delinquants are freely troublesome (for a mysterious reason). You gonna expell all the good students who will get into a fight with them? The school gonna sink in a week 😅 I think a restrictive controle during somedays would be more logical, like you would have to spend your free time (break and lunchtime) under the surveillance of the student concil or in the guidance concelor's office, that would drasticly damage the player's free will during the day, and would only have after classes to take actions. That would be a more logical punishment for a good student who did only one (still big) mistake I think.

How would other students react to the bruises? Would bullies spread rumors about abuse and/or fighting and would the more tender hearted ones dot over her pain? What would Senpia do if he saw someone hurt like that? Alert the teachers? And what if it's not clear who started the fight, would the player be sent to the counselor and have to lie there way out? would this make teachers more aware of them/if they kept getting into fights would this awareness increase (Stricter punishments for missing class or for doing other bad things/etc)

This would be under "social espionage and effects" I think. Ayano wouldn't be too honorable to use such tactics to get witnesses expelled or suspended. I don't imagine it would work more than once or twice, but it would be a very powerful back door for a player who saves murder for a heavyweight rival where zero witnesses would be nearly impossible. It would require you play "good girl" for all the weeks prior to this, however.

Hmm... I wonder if the student council should really apprehend Yan-chan immediately when they see her fighting a delinquent. School fights can't be that rare. Granted they've probably been informed she's dangerous, but the student council don't even stop to wonder who started the fight or if it's in self defense, and they're treating a fight the same way they would treat an outright murder. I feel like their actions when seeing a fight should be something like "they break up the fight, weapons used are confiscated, Yan-chan's reputation takes a heavier blow than if a normal student saw her" and/or "Yan-chan is sent to the guidance counsellor (after she's implemented of course)".

I agree! I also think that regardless of who started it, both Yan-chan AND the delinquent should be seen getting in trouble. Actually, while typing that I thought of an idea haha. What if getting caught fighting a delinquent causes you both to get some sort of after-school detention. You could choose to ditch it, in which case you'd probably end up in even more trouble, but that would get the delinquent out of the way for one evening. You could make sure you get caught fighting while his entire gang is rooting the fight on, causing everyone to get detention and freeing up the incinerator for the entire evening, although for a hefty cost.

actually, I think this is very realistic in regards to real life. Many people get punished if they don't avoid a fight and hit back (Even in self defense). this is a big case in real life where both sides are punished whether it is self defense or not. So unless yan Dev puts in a option to be a good student and run away it makes perfect sense to pepper spray someone. I believe it makes sense in that if you put your fists up in self defense, you look as dangerous as the aggressor and it can be used against you. (Sorry if i am repeating it).

I do get what you mean, I just think pepper spray is kind of harsh in this situation. At my high school fights weren't common but they still happened sometimes, and the teachers' response was always to separate the students to break up the fight and then probably give them detention, not pepper spray.
