Thanks Ron! Still going through your videos so I can someday dive into Grid Mode. Ha

This is exactly what I was looking for with the new firmware, thanks Bay Mud!! Very excited to sit down with my Deluge and mess with these new features myself! =P

Hey thanks! Glad to hear it. So many more features I didn't have time (or expertise) for, so take a look at the docs if you're curious. So many more features on the way too!

Brilliant walk thru. I never knew release and analogue reverb were cpu intense. Great to know. I'm in the habit now, off any older song's, I set the master level at 20, then setup the compressor. It's fantastic 👏 😀 👌 cheers 🍻

Glad it was helpful! CPU stuff is definitely tricky and a combination of things, but things like voice count and extended release can definitely make a quick difference (especially with multisampled instruments). The new CPU indicator is a great help

had no idea there was a brightness default, my life has been improved lol thank you stellar_aria did such a fantastic job with the rings verb port, didn't even think to adjust the HPF and dampening to focus the tone of it iirc the flashing play button indicates something has been culled, but as you said we don't really notice it sometimes. If you have like 4 notes playing and you have 4 synth voices, then that'll be playing 16 total voices as the notes are releasing, so when you ask deluge to play a new note with the previous notes releasing, if play starts flashing it might have culled a couple of those voices and start playing 4 more so you'd have like 18 total voices playing and releasing OMG when was save/load defaults added to performance view???
@BayMud5 ай бұрын
Ha. I figured starting with the brightness setting would be helpful to someone! Hard to keep up with the progress---I remember testing the ability to save/load multiple sets of performance view settings at one point too (and crossfading between them!), which was super fun, so hopefully that makes it back in. CPU stuff is always tricky. I mostly just wanted to make it clear to people that just because the play button is blinking doesn't mean you'll hear anything "wrong". I love that we have an indicator to know when we're pushing the limits (and can also turn if off when it's yelling at me. Ha)

great upload....Personally, I'd like to see the coloured pads brighter (vs the ambient light) for this type of tutorial, (I have a hard time reading your 7 seg. display) but the info and overall presentation are excellent. Can't believe how archaic is seems to see this display, now that I'm so spoiled by the OLED version..........great info.....thanks v much........your videos are excellent, especially the sound, eq and mixing of your V.O. overtop.....unsurpassed!
@BayMud5 ай бұрын
Thanks. I can definitely see the value of the OLED display, but not enough to make me give up my beloved 7SEG. Ha. As for lighting, you've mentioned it on a few videos now. I personally like the balance here

Yet another suggestion but what I would really like to see is splitting the keyboard layout between two instruments (would be really cool to play a synth with the right hands and drums with the left [any ideas or a workaround?]) and layering synths to play simultaneously (workarounds?). Thanks for your video!
@BayMud2 ай бұрын
You should drop by the Discord or Girhub and make suggestions there, as I doubt the devs check here. That said, so far the only way I know of to do the first one would be with a MIDI controller (either set the Deluge to play one thing while the controller is assigned to another, or get a controller with keys and pads and assign them accordingly). Same idea for two synths at once---learn them to the same controller. There may be other work arounds, but personally I haven't needed/wanted to do either one, so I haven't really looked into it. Folks on the Discord may be more helpful though
@AntonKuznetsovMusic2 ай бұрын
@@BayMud thanks for the reply! Yeah tbh I feel like suggestion parts of forums are generally overcrowded and dreaded by the devs so that's why I'm looking for workarounds in other sources. :D
@BayMud2 ай бұрын
You'd be surprised! The Discord is one of my favourite parts of owning a Deluge. Also so many knowledgeable people in terms of workarounds too

@@BayMud I actually had it alongside push3 standalone and chose that instead. It's a hugely fun bit of kit but i have live on my mac and should just leave it there really.

Got some clicking on the performance mode whenever I use E.g. the stutter. Do you got that, too?
@BayMud4 ай бұрын
I just played around with a bit and didn't notice any clicking. I imagine with stutter it would depend on timing too, but I couldn't get it to overtly click
