@@Strm987 While that's likely to be the case, DK Meli is different from both Liz and Elizabeth and Ludo and Margaret examples. Liz and Elizabeth are both the same character but reincarnated, Ludo and Margaret are technically both Ludo. However, DK Meli isn't Meli, similar to how Margaret counts are Ludo (possessing a different body), so they could make him a Demon King unit. However, I think it boils down to a matter of marketing, would the unit sell better as "another Meliodas" or as "the first playable Demon King unit".

Probably gonna be a demon king unit but you just wont be able to run Meli with Demon king possessing his body and same for Zeldris, since well he is possessing their bodies. Just like how Ludociel possesses Margeret and therefore we have no Margeret unit and you cant use them on the same team. You cant use Liz or Elizabeth on the same team either

GC could make so much bank with more characters if they eventually go the dokkan route and just release whatever once the story wraps up and they focus on rag and the next story more. It'll be interesting to see what they do given this game basically funded origins

i mean that is true but keep in mind dbz is a much more popular ip than 7ds. dokkan gets away with it just bc it’s dragon ball. 7ds and even 4koA has a bad reputation and majority of the ppl who even play the game is for the gameplay over the IP while for dokkan it’s the complete opposite. so grand cross would honestly need to keep up with their original content like rag while making good decisions for the game (which we all know they aren’t good at) point is, i can see it lasting a few more years with that route, but no where near dokkan’s about the be 8 years and counting life span

@@BasementBubbatunde not even close. just look at naruto blazing for example. a game with a popular ip that eventually lead to servers being shut down. brave souls is another game that also has a good ip on top of it being a good gacha game so that’s just another bad example to use here. and it is getting away with it. dokkan literally just dropped some dog shit and still hit top grossing on BOTH VERSIONS 😂. dokkan and genshin and occasionally legends are the only gacha games where they can have a dead week or a horrible banner drop and would still wouldn’t effect the game dramatically. grand cross just needs a better dev team and make good decisions because the ip and the current state of the game is no where near enough to live for a couple more years. (also i’m not disagreeing with your original comment, i just think using dokkan is a bad example)

The sad thing is, True Form Meli and Demon King Meli have similar outfits and Netmarble might not make two characters that are so similar (I say this but The One and The One Ultimate are pretty similar), so they might make Demon King Meli a raid and True Form Meli as a unit, like everyone is saying.

I have one observation: I think Netmarble is designing ult animations for units they plan on releasing in a way that'll look good on shorter PvP version. With DK Meli here we have perfect red eye light-up (transition from DK to Meli form). Also, I think this outfit may be the just base one, not UR version. PMeli also has the outfit with coat as his UR which is very different from the one he had in manga/earlier skin, so if they make it different enough it may be passable. To add to the counterpoints, if they plan to release DK Zeldris they really might want to skip DK Meli, because they would need to make 2 fest (I assume) units with same character relatively close to eachother. But if they want to realase 2 hype characters that probably will make them a lot of money they definitely shouldn't hesitate.
