Do you two have jobs? Yes! We both have full time careers. Brian is a Software Engineer and Kerry is a Graphic Designer.
What are those black pouches around your neck? We use the lanyards to carry some camera equipment, but many cruisers like to wear lanyards to hold their room key card.
What camera do you use? We typically use the DJI Pocket II, however, when we are in the water we use the Go Pro Hero 9, and in Alaska we occasionally used the Nikon P1000 for wildlife shots. What is a GUSS? GUSS is our name for a Towel Animal! It is a childhood memory for Brian that has lived on for years. You can see the home video moment where GUSS was born in Adventure of the Seas Day 6 (We Made the News) and Allure of the Seas Day 3 (Sea Day).
Is that one thing you said serious? Almost certainly not. If you’re new to the channel, we have really dry, sarcastic senses of humor. So if you’re questioning if it’s sarcasm - it probably is.
How do I ask a dinner time question? Leave a comment on any video and let us know it’s supposed to be answered at dinner time. We’re always looking for new questions (even if the next cruise we can answer it on is a long long way out).
Is it really pronounced CoCo “Key”? Royal Caribbean has said itself that it is pronounced “Key” in a FAQ of their own here: creative.rccl..... To each their own on this pronunciation!
When and how did you meet? We met in February of 2020 via a dating app. We answer this question in more detail in our Independence of the Seas Day 2 (Swimming with Pigs) video.

Forgive me but this just might be the historian in me but this might help you with your assessment on pirates. Not all pirates operated outside of the law. I realize that in pop culture when we talk about the golden age of pirates from the mid 17th century to late 18th century they are usually in the image of Jack Sparrow. However there was a such of thing as legal privateers that operated in mostly the Caribbean that actually got permission from the crown & had legal documents saying that they could be privateers AKA pirates. The reason why the pop culture image of pirates became popular is is the same reason why the stories of the old west & figures such as Billy the Kid became popular, because it sells & the more nuanced stories don’t.

I was on Harmony of the Seas next to Utopia. They are very similar. Same slides. Same almost everything. The paint color and some of the finishing touches were different, but It was basically the same from what I could see. That and the sports decks were updated nicely. I would love to sail on Utopia as well. I just wish they would update the Central Park layout a bit. It's nice, don't get me wrong, but it would be cool to see some unique features that set the ships apart

What’s amazing is that Allure was ahead of its time so much that 14-15 years later the latest Utopia ship is still the same class and general size and layout but shinier and more colorful! I’ve watched several of your videos on Utopia and I’m not sure I like the new location of Windjammer. Maybe I would think differently in person but I like where it’s at on Allure a little better.

The windjammer is where the sport court is on utopia/wonder and sport court is the floor of the windjammer on the older ships. They flipped the floor of windjammer and sport court on the newer ships. They wanted the windjammer to be more easy accessible and have more seating so they moved it down to the pool deck .

I was a Merchant Marine on cargo ships for 12 years. Pirates were no joke. It was like driving through a bad neighborhood when we were passing through the areas, they were prevalent. We used fire hoses to prevent them from getting on board. Not a fan of pirates. Even the legal ones still seemed a little sketchy to me.

I’m sure you are aware now but when comparing Utopia with Allure, you mentioned the smoke from Allure but not Utopia. Isn’t Utopia fulled with Liquid Gas and therefore will not have smoke
