@@dru812002yeah because this one has been getting very negative reviews. But if you want my input on it, this is basically Sauvage Parfum all over again. As people were very disappointed in that one. Because of its performance and longevity. This is the same situation for Eau Forte. Now it’s only difference is that it’s water based. But still, it’s Dior Sauvage Parfum all over again to some people.

Does not have any of modern Sauvage DNA ,which is good because you already have 3 very similar with the first 3 releases.Elixir is magical and a very powerful and interesting scent.I say this is a 4 out of 5 on the interesting worth purchasing scale.Get it with a discount around $150 for the full bottle with ulta points bonus or other places.It’s probably the most woody scent I ever tried and reminds me a bit of Luna Rossa Black,nice projection and if you put it on directly after a shower and let it dry a bit before putting on a shirt it’s not any different than an alcohol fragrance.It’s definitely unusual and gets too much bad press,I got a spray sample and the 10ml splash bottle.Will definitely see how it is in fall ,which is probably the best time to wear it,

I tried it in a sephora and (i can be wrong) but after 15 minutes it reminded me Jaguar pour homme, the notes listed may differ (i didn't look) but it smell very similar to me. I am tired of blue fragrances but this one is not for me.

Having tried MFK fragrances and found them very far from special or exciting, my expectations were everything but high for the first sauvage that was going to come from Kurkdjian. I've never liked his "art" and eau forte won't be the one that changes it. 2021 bottles of sauvage elixir are still my most complimented fragrance ever.

This is how Dior handles the perfumes they dare to sell: this is the FIRST CREATION by their Artistic Director Kurdjian...so expect more s*it down the way. Dior is in some turmoil, they became so expensive, no coherent reactions. Best regards from Paris France !

MFK released 240 fragrances. Only 1 is an actual crowd pleaser. Some are getting sold a lot, but they’re all 50/50 with people hating and loving them. And Dior, a company who is reliant on crowd pleasers, decides he should be the heir to Demachy? Even the extrait versions of the collection privee fragrances they released are worse than the originals and cost 500€ each.

Given that some people react badly to cosmetic alcohol, what Dior have done here by creating a non alcohol version of their most popular men’s fragrance deserves some appreciation. I’m sure Dior know the majority of people who can tolerate the alcohol will still buy the OG versions, but at least those who couldn’t can now still enjoy a piece of the Sauvage pie
