The elite shields were so cool, such a shame they weren't added, I tried shooting the shield in the demo and it actually blocks damage which is pretty cool. I feel like a lot of this stuff would have made combat evolved better.

This stuff is incredible for archival/preservation, and helpful as i've been experminting with the demo myself. I wonder if all the tools are there to effectively re-create the e3 2000 trailer....

Worth mentioning as well, if you launch the e32k build with the '-edit' argument, you can launch it in editor mode :)

Interesting - the text on the magnum includes "Mega Class" - the pistol in the Marathon games was called the ".45 Magnum Mega Class". But aside from the silver barrel and black scope it's pretty different from the Marathon pistol. Definitely a holdover from when Halo was still set in the Marathon universe. Also I just noticed that the clouds in the skybox subtly move. I don't think that made it into the final version of the game, or did I just miss it for 24 years?

I didn't get a chance to watch this video nor your previous video in full, but there's two other things I didn't see in either video that might be helpful: 1. While in any vehicle, in the driver seat, if you flip it over, you can press left control to flip it back upright. 2. If you press tilde (~), you can open a console that allows you to execute commands. You can press tab to cycle through them. Hope this helps! Also, thank you for sharing the animations and other goodies in these videos!

@@bonetto07 Not sure yet. I was honestly more interested in this build because of how nostalgic the E3 trailer is to me. Plus I feel like more people are exploring that demo far better than I could already lol.

I'm very curious what the story was like at this point in development. Like how much was written during development for the XBox vs. PC? I'm fairly certain that nothing had really been established in 1999, but this is definitely further along.
