This place was established by श्री कृष्ण (Shri Krishna) & अर्जुन (Arjuna) by clearing the खाण्डव वन (Khāṇḍava vana). Even till the early part of the 20th century, it was known as Pandavon Ka Kila & the entire complex as Indraprastha village.

I'm a history teacher and ASI invited few of the curious students with their teacher (taking humanities subject) to come over and see the excavated sites and there was a archaelogist who told us about the history of sites and how they identify pieces after the process 'Carbon dating'. There is a lot more to discover in lal quila( quoted by archeogist). It was a nice experience though. Thank you sir for the video.
