I worked with ceramics and clay for years and when you put that top piece on and it collapsed I said oh god she needs a frame and then you did! I think you did great for not being super familiar with it! That’s a fantastic dupe! I love it! Bravo on doing your research and using slip to put it together 👏 I promise someone would have dried all the pieces and either used e6000 hot glue or both 😂

Quick tip on working without gloves - if you scrape your nails on a bar of soap before you start - then after you’re done - you just have to scoop out the (mostly) soap from under your nails. Works great when working with dirt as well. 😄

I'd like to share something that we learned the hard & expensive way we done some decking & like you tried to only use the best & straight broads not realizing we needed to ckeck which direction the ends were facing make sure the tree rings are facing down imagine you're looking at rainbow that what you want if not over time the ends will naturally start to curve up & pull up, Kinda makes sense seeing how thats how the tree grows. Love & respect to ya'll

NAH THAT JUST AIN'T ME FOR SURE! And although I may watch a video that might have a mistake in it doesn't mean I learned my lesson from it!! But it's more like .. "OH CRAP APPLE'S!! SHE DID SAY... (whatever I just did on a project and I messed up on it too) but it's more like "Ok I messed up and now she told me or showed me how to correct it!" And if you make a mistake so what!! It's your project your channel! Right?! Everybody is seriously human and makes mistakes right!!!?? I make mistakes left and right and I feel more like a friend watching a video where mishaps and mistakes happen and I have to say what kinda fun is PERFECTLY PERFECT ANYWAYS?? B O R I N G!!! These are ALLLLL FABULOUS!!!! I love that you show your oops and how you fixed it. I've been wanting spheres Forever!!! I love the privacy screen! It looks better than mine. I made a frame out of 2x4 with a cross brace and then zip tied on that reed fencing. lol Let's just say I'm glad I zip tied it on- because that reed stuff does not last and it's a spider lair. lol My frame is actually solid, and I also had issues with the feet. I didn't use enough screws. lol and I think you just gave me the idea on how to add some strips to it like yours instead of the reed fencing. I will Frankenstein it! Thanks for sharing!

That privacy screen is great! 🤩 Maybe some sheer material (like a curtain) can be added on days you'll be outside? 🤔 I need to compare prices on trellises (buying vs. building) because I need to hide my septic system that's in my front yard. 🙄 You've inspired me (to get the materials for my spouse to build 😂)!
@angelajonesdiy
@angelajonesdiy Жыл бұрын
I was thinking the same about adding some sheer curtains! I love that look. I also picked up some already built trellis at Home Depot for the opposite side of my deck and that was less expensive. It was also vinyl or plastic not wood. I think I prefer that though since it will be low maintenance

I love your video Angela. I love all your projects, they turned out so good. The clay vase you did has inspired me so much that I’m going to make 4 of them, I think, I have the clay here so why not. I never thought I could make anything like that but you made it look, well not easy, but easy enough for more to try it anyway. WOW, I love those concrete balls they look awesome in the garden. I really like the privacy screen and I’m thinking that if I made one like that it might look okay on my grandsons small front verandah and easy and light enough to move, oh boy, you’ve really inspired me so much, thank you. The plant stand you made and put in your house, I love but I think it would look super good with another wood round to make a place for 2 plants. Do you think it would work with a larger wood round 84 do you think it would need an extra leg, I can’t be bothered going back to look but I think yours was 3 legs?? And I’m thinking if it were a bit bigger, 4 legs may be needed to make it sturdier. I must have subscribed to you because I was already subscribed but it must have been from a collab as I honestly don’t recall ever having watched any of your videos. I certainly will be now. TFS and enjoy the rest of your weekend. I’m so looking forward to your next video.

I’m so glad you are feeling inspired from my video 🥰🥰 omg I love that idea to add a second wood round for another plant! yes I think if you made a larger plant stand you would want 4 legs. I also think you would want to add a finishing nail or something to make it a little more sturdy depending on the size and weight of the plant you would be putting on it

What kind of Troll doesn’t want the rest of us learn from mistakes that can, do or will happen? That’s ridiculous and in my opinion not a genuine subscriber but a troll who will say the same kinds of things to a vast selection of genres. They will troll sewing, politics, true crime, name it. What sorry little lived these Trolls have if that is all they do and live for. The best thing you can do, Angela is what you’re doing: Stand up and be true to yourself and your channel will explode with real guests who WANT to LEARN from each other’s mistakes. I think you did a great job with all the dubes. I also like that you share your hole proses, mistake and all. I love the privacy screen you make, what a great job. It really depends on how much privacy you need whether or not thats enough. It would be fine if you just dont people seeing everything going on but if you want extra then you may want attach a piece of lattice to it. That would look good i think. God bless

I just picked up some lattice! I’m gonna see how that looks with it.

I think mesh tape on the balls first would help the cement stick. Plus I would probably make the cement thicker. But yours turned out great!

Ugh why didn’t I think about that! I even had some mesh tape left over from my plaster table project 🤦‍♀️

Love your work! Just discovered you today 😊. I wonder what some rope woven back and forth in areas of the slates would look like? (Vertically)

How could I use ping pong balls to make a clear bead garland? Also if you want sea glass look you can add food coloring to mod podge or paint ♥️ love the candle holders and I definitely agree the wood bead garland is becoming tiresome 😂❤ love your dupes

I meant to use ping pong balls for the sea glass one since that was what I originally wanted to. I wasn’t clear on my thought there lol.

new sub here, i deeply appreciate and love how honest, humble and genuine you are with what I have seen already 3 mins into the video so I am definitely in the right place for my pain point which is needing help and advise with DIY Decor and how to make my home that we bought Dec 2020 & I am extremely creative but not in home decor yet, I am more creative in sewing but love to work with my hands and make my home look like we are here to stay for my kiddos because we lost out first home in 2009 due to one of many Economy Crash’s which scares my husband and I because after we had to file bankruptcy in 09’ due to 08’s economy crash when we tried to hang on and not lose our home but the loan we had with TruHomes which was a 3rd party loan that went through Community America Bank But My husband and I had just had our first baby, newly married in 07’, I had finally gotten my Disability in 08’ but the Loan Company we had Truhomes which has since been sued by another Homeowner that lost her home because of the downright evil sins of TruHomes and she won and got a settlement that I know she deserved and wish I would have done that as well but like I had stated my husband and I didn’t know that our loan company would later change our mortgage contract without our consent and we went from a fixed a rate to a Arm rate which our payments went from 950.00 to 2500.00 on 🆙 varing month to month. The moral of my story is many areas which are; 1. try to not depend on the Gov or your state for assistance if you are working and can cut back and create a strict budget which may hurt your heart/ego ❤️ and i don’t mean medically& it doesn’t have to be forever as well, use less meat in your meals or cut in half even and save your leftovers or freeze it for another meal another week while only needing to only now heating it up 2. Go to places that sell leftover wood, cabinets, sinks, etc from builders that over estimate and have a left overs and sell it at a reasonable discounts. thank you again for your content……i am subbed and ❤ your hard work and honesty while showing your flaws as well…..we need a lot more people like you.
