DJI Fly app new update 1.12.8 Test flight DJI Mini 2 & DJI Mini 3 Pro.
Time Stamp:
00:00 Intro.
01:14 DJI Mini 2 test flight / check Altitude height.
06:11 DJI Mini 2 Dronie test.
07:19 DJI Mini 3 Pro test flight / check Altitude height.
12:00 DJI Mini 3 Pro Master Shots test.
14:08 Final chat on the two drones and has anything changed.

Good to see the Mini 2 is still a valid drone Shaun. Since I now live about a kilometre from the Gatwick runway, I’ve let my licenses expire. I guess it’ll be better to redo it in Spain. Only a few days to go! Villa purchase completes tomorrow. A nice Argonut style road trip via Dieppe starts on Monday afternoon.

The New Drone rules concerning sub 250g Drones are the beginning of the End to recreational flying in the UK.

Man! What an intro! WOW! Nice job! I did the update, like the bigger text and the onscreen scrolling warnings, and flight data enlargement. Like sound quality of the mike you’re using too! What are you using for the video edits? Great post!

With the mini 3 pro, try touching the collision avoidance symbol when flying and it will do something it didn't do before.

Thanks for showing the Mini 3 pro! The fuss about the 120 meter altitude scares me a lot. Often starting at a low level, flying up over hills and mountains, I just refuse to loose setting max altitude to 150 meter, or more. Updates have been refused since the 120 meter discussion started.... When was the last update done? What version? What parts of the system software?

Hi Stefan, as far as I know, they wont be restricting the Mini 3 Pro as I've have shown, only warning you, you've gone over the 400ft (120m). Remember not updating your controller could lead to problems but if you're happy with flying your drone, carry on. It's only the Mini 4 Pro here in the EU that has been restricted. @@shaunthedrone Starting at the low land, flying at 120 meter, suppose a hill comes in the way. According to air traffic rules the max 120 applies to terrain, not to take off level. Climbing and fly over the hill at 120 meter is fully legal. BUT, remember to reduce the altitude when returning to the low land.

They are keeping the updates coming. If you do an orbit with you as POI, what happens when drone goes the other side of building ?

Thank you Sandy, plenty more updates to come. Good question, as long as the drone is high enough and can still see you, it's okay but if it can't see you, then it will stop. Better to do a circle around the building than the POI. Many thanks for watching.

Shaun, I lost my drone the very next day after the update!!! It was flying 300 meters away at 60 meters height and suddenly I get a message (RC not connected) and the screen freezes , the drone never came back😢😢 Now I have to deal with stinking DJI flyaway claim I did not do anything different this time, I am blaming the update for the loss of signal

Sorry to hear about your loss, hopefully DJI Support will sort out your fly away by checking your flight record. I hope you get a replacement. Thanks for letting me know and I will see if anybody else has been having the same issue.
