I think some people have unrealistic higher expectations of the Neo. In my opinion, having a camera that shoots 4k video and flies for £169 just impresses me no end, the fact it has multiple connection options and flight modes, plus a host of AI features, for the price, we can't really complain about it's little issues.😊 I'm happy with mine so far.

I agree with the closing sentiment. This is a drone that takes all the thinking and hesitation out of the process. As it has been said many times, the best camera is the one with you all the time and the same goes for the Neo. Neo is full of compromises and limitations but it is with you all the time and can be up in the air before you can think of reasons not to get other drones out. It will therefore capture more moments than any other drones

I took the camera off auto mode and the quality is pretty nice now. When it's to low if you try to tap it up with your hand then it just turns off thinking it landed.

Is there a GoPro solution to removing the buzzing sound from the NEO? I know that iPhones can do it, but I'll be traveling with my GoPro most times and want to include both videos.

I did have the same issue trying to get it to come down. Mostly I am enjoying flying it with the phone and the RCN2 controller. 🐾🐈‍⬛🐝🍻

I enjoy playing hide and seek with mine, find I talk to it a lot! So far, so good, best feature its portability and the ease of use. Voice prompt for low battery is a must. Glad I bought the whole package, even if I paid extra as I originally just bought the stand alone unit. The Freewell filters make a big difference to the image quality too, just need to practice my piloting skills with the RC.

Ok, first of all: Forget the issues, this landscape is really so great that I must give a like! Because of the problems: DJI was under pressure to bring out the Neo before the Hover X1 Pro, so I think most of this (not so huge) issues will be fixed with next firmware upgrades.

voice prompts are all over the place for me. Sometimes i get the low battery warning. Sometimes I don't. Even when flying with the remote , It seems hit or miss after the last update. I do have fun with mine though.

Please could you record a brief video showing the built-in modes of the drone only please? For example, I would like to see what footage looks like from the helix and circle and droney footage. How high it will go and will the camera actually tilt whilst it is performing this function so that you can see yourself being filmed and then the surrounding overview from a height. Basically I would be mostly interested in what can be gotten out of the drone itself and with the mobile app//without the controller- because I think the beauty of this neo is in its simplest use case.

2:07 : "direction has never been an issue when walking"...sure when walking but when running or riding a bike it's useless compared to even the old X1. Even when walking the "direction track from the side" at the end is not great with too much back and forth.

It would be great if DJI made the activetrack and follow so you can adjust where you are in the frame. It cuts your feet off a lot of the time. Also for travel purposes, a smaller controller would be great. Something like the original mini had.

You can adjust the position in Follow Mode by clicking on the small RC icon bottom left !

@@Peakabike maybe I’m doing something wrong, but mine won’t allow you to. Only the height that the drone shoots from , not the position of the person in the frame. It still cuts your feet off.

You do know for a few $$ or, in your case, a few €€ a cheap cigarette plug adapter that plugs in and has a USB output problem solved with the batteries.

Rocket 10 metres failed for me. I was using the drone only. To be fair, I did move, so it may have lost sight of me, but it did not return. In fact, it kept increasing its height to around, probably 20-30 metres! Luckily, I have the fly more combo with the RC remote, so I ran to get to get it, and within 5 seconds of turning it on, it got connected and was able to lower the drone. So, probably do not move while doing rocket on 10 metres!

yes you can, you've always could. as long as there's a video you can. it's called editing and to be more precise: framing or cropping. you may look into that as this is very very, I mean VERY basic knowledge, it may save you from asking ridiculous questions like this one in the future. jeez. sorry for little rant, but I'm loosing hope for humanity.

When performing direction track, do you know if the drone flies level or follows the contour of the ground, particularly if walking up hill?

It will follow, i walked up and recorded a sequence of that, but for some reason i deleted it too 🤦😅 but it followed from the bottom and all the way back up

I can see why no one actually does a video showing exactly how to update firmware in AND connect all devices. Is there ANY WAY they could make connecting new devices AND updating them any more difficult? Any at all??? My brand new goggles seem to be stuck trying to connect to my phone. Great. Not only does the pairing work like shit, it can't even figure out when it's hardwired into a phone.

@@RobHK But would people complain though? I think not. Everything at dji is expensive and they have successfully dissected their inventory in such a way like Apple. You buy a main unit and you have to buy the other accessories to make it fly "better". Would have been great if neo at least had options or a be powerful enough to use a dji action cam on its platform. I think all these issues will be addressed with the neo 2 though.

Really strange: All videos on youtube I see from the Neo look much better than mine (regarding just technical quality, without putting composition into aspect). And I own two Neos- so I think I may exclude a defect- both deliver shitty video-quality (unuseable, they look like out of a toy camera, no details, no sharpness but much of noise)-. very strange. (Photo quality is good, I really like it- especially the colours.) 1080 HD and 4k 30 look almost the same to my eyes- that's really bad. I've made all the recommended adjustments- with no success. The video results of my Air 3 seem to be 1000 times better.
