It'll be interesting to see if the spin-off explores the idea of UNIT being the bad guys from an environmentalist point of view, kind of a throwback to The Silurians. Speaking of which, Christmas special; the time jumps, the use of ordinary everyday things being used for laughter (toastie/latte) and mystery (locked doors) is all very Moffat.

I think it might be the colouring on the Silurian skin, the yellow highlights in particular than give it a slightly cheaper feel.

if anything, i’d say adding an extra bit of colour is an upgrade? but that’s probably what they’re referring to, yes.
