My stock 2017 outruns my friend's supercharged Gen 1 Raptor on and offroad. I have videos of us both at the track proving it...and he placed in RaptorX one year. The V6 gives more power and torque, better gas mileage, and takes weight off the front shocks, which is very important offroad, as some of my videos will attest.

I have a 09 ford F-150 that has been in the swamps of Louisiana to the oilfield roads of Texas and New Mexico over 250k miles and still running strong with no major repairs just a regular nothing fancy truck. I love the Design of the Raptor. It’s been so aggressive and badass.. I dislike the new f150 redesign and I don’t want the Raptor to look anything like that unless they really elevate it. They’re going to have big shoes to fill. Especially since everyone wants a Big V8. This TRX is what I’ll be getting next year unless Ford shows a monster Raptor. Also Jeep needs to bring back the XJ!

“Spent time in the cold”. I am guessing cold isnt with snow on the ground is it? My air ride suspension kept failing on my ram 1500 because of the cold and ram said its not a product defect because they sell more trucks in California then all of canada and northern states combined. So i moved to a 2019 ram and out of 3 months of ownership it was in the dealership for 5 different issues. Never again will i own a ram. Switched to a 2019 Sierra 1500 AT4 and no issues

I agree. I had two RAM's CONSTANT recalls. I live 60 miles from the nearest dealer. Couldn't keep running back and forth every 60 days. When I traded my 14 RAM 3500 in, it had 4 recalls still waiting. Screw that. Went to Chevy. Zero issues in 2.5 yrs.

You’re getting a 700hp purposely built off-roading truck off the showroom with OEM warranty. This is a low production number truck so they gotta make their money back from how much they invested in developing it. Also most people who are gonna get this truck are gonna lease it because only a dumbass would finance such an expensive truck knowing it gonna depreciate off the lot.

If you can't afford this truck you can always get a used Toyota Tacoma/Tundra with 100k-170k miles for $10,000-$15,000 that will last you another at least another 200k miles with no issues. Trucks aren't overpriced, it's that people with the money to buy new trucks want something better than existing ones on the used market.... That means manufacturers have to spend more money developing and building better tech, better interiors with better materials.... Last time I checked, Raw materials costs have only went up. People now want better, higher quality materials than that found in vehicles 10-20 years ago. Car Manufacturers are not operating a high margin business. In fact, the highest margin in the car industry is with Porsche at 15-17%. Gm, Ford, and Chevy are hovering around 5-7%... If all people wanted were simple, reliable, no frills trucks then the prices wouldn't be so high. It would probably be around $18-25k new depending on the engine option. But people want Cool, Luxurious, and High powered/ highly capable status symbol vehicles that they probably won't utilize to its full potential even on a rare occasion...
