This is perfect. I’ve made the box for the cornice board using poster board for years. I’ve hung it on two finishing nails with ribbons attached to the back.

The window treatments were gorgeous!!! Several years ago I made a valance box for my window exactly the way you did but instead of wood I used foam board . Afraid the weight would be to much for the adhesive. The table runners were brilliant for that project. ❤❤❤
