It's not right but the sign company delivered the signs to her or on her behalf. She didn't pay the bill but was in possession of the signs. Once the sign place handed them over to her, they no longer belong to the sign company, they belong to that evil disgusting woman. The sign company must go through the courts to get a court order to resolve the payment issue. That's a civil issue that has to be settled amongst the two parties or through a judge's order. The police could have arrested the sign workers for grand larceny because they removed her property, and the cost of the signs is over $500. It isn't right but it is the law. Just because the sign company hasn't been paid doesn't matter as far as the law is concerned because that is a breach of contract for non-payment. The signs became hers when the sign company turned over possession of the signs to the stupidmayor. Once that was done the signs were hers and consent was needed to repo the signs. If it was a car sale that has a lien against the vehicle until payment is made in full it would be different. The contract on a car is written that says if payment is not made at a certain date, then the lien hold has the right to take back possession of the vehicle. If the sign place had written up the purchase order saying if x number of days has passed with no payment, then the signs are to return back in possession to the sign place then they could repo them, but it doesn't look like that was the agreement.

@@stevenr8606 You fail to understand common laws dude..doesn't matter if the were made by god..they can't legally take them down, period dot end.. A contractor cannot remove materials from a construction site if they have not been paid, unless the contract includes a Retention of Title clause. The contractor's title to the materials passes to the employer when they are delivered to the site, regardless of payment.
