I pretty much have the same dimensions as you do, except for the longboard setup that I do have... different strokes for different folks. A very informative video though.🤘

Wanja, what are some reasons you prefer Pearl pedals over Tama? Are there any key difference in the geometry? If you have tried the Dyna-Sync, how do those compare to the demon drive? I recently converted speed cobras to direct drives, it is the best pedal I have ever played! :D thanks!

hi wanja, i had a question with the demon drives. do you have a weird clicking noise coming from the footboard as you lift your feet off it during some heel up techniques? if you did, how did you alleviate those? thanks!

Well basically nothing XD Yes, they sometimes do these clicking noises but honestly it is not loud enough to be of any significance.

Had this pedal for 12 years and it's kinda falling apart. The bearings are all loose/whacky. Check the alignment on you're direct drive bearings. You can loasen some screws and line it back up

Hey Wanja, It just occurred to me that you’re using your Demon Drive in the short board option. Can you speak about the difference that it makes for your heel-toe singles technique? Thank you!

I just switched back to longboard :D Tbh it doesn't make a big difference. Things like beater distance or spring tension are faaaar more important.

Ah damn, i totally forgot that! It actually doesn't make a big difference to me but I think that I have a tiny bit more power with short board. But could also just be my imagination.

@@wanjanechtangroeger since I use more the ankle motion and a little bit of swivel, I think the long board fits me better (my pedal is the same as yours) but for your technique (amazing but very difficult BTW) apparently the short board seems better. 🤘🏼

I had trouble with my wandering slave pedal too and I just stuck some velcro under it so now it doesn't move anywhere, maybe give it a try
