New Dragon Ball Daima Trailer is Out, and It’s….😳

Yeah, it looks decent. As you said the biggest hurdle is most all the characters being turned chibi. I don't really like that and it seems unnecessary, and I don't think it was even done right. BUT, we at least are getting a real adventure story and the older forms are returning too, so that's a plus. I have never been disappointed by Nakatsuru's art direction, and part of the reason why this looks so good visually is because he is so good at depicting movement and fluidity. I'm just hoping for a few basic things: a coherent, consistent story, good characters, and more minimal use of Super Saiyan and Super Saiyan 2, showing Goku's mastery in base. The animation is obviously not an issue and I don't think the choreography will be either.

the characters don't even look like how they were as a kid but more like a chibi version of themselves. Like Piccolo looks nothing like his child self.

I’d much rather just have an OG dragon ball spin off instead of seeing everyone as chibi funko pop lookin ah kids, maybe we could see more Yamcha, Krillin and Tien as they’ve been shafted for years. Could’ve gotten the return of the great ape Oozaru as the main transformation and king piccolo in modern animation would’ve been clean.

It’s nice that we finally get to see the Demon Realm and explore that side of the setting, everyone else being kids alongside Goku and Vegeta is off-putting though. They should have kept the others as adults that accompany the two Sayians at various points in the story when they need help, which would give everyone else time to shine again.

They really didn't need to turn everyone into kids 💀 it's was so unnecessary, Master Roshi looks exactly the same as Krillin which it is crazy and Kid Piccolo, Vegeta looks like Mini plushies version of themselves, Goten and Trunks are fcking Babies.. 💀 My god, these two will never grow up, Kid Mr Satan looks completely different character that I didn't even know it's was him, Android 18 and Bulma and Chichi are uhh, and I can't believe I just saw OX-KING turned into a kid too 💀💀

I don’t mind Vegeta being a kid with Goku but everyone else didn’t need to get that treatment too, also Goten & Trunks suffer under Stewie Griffin syndrome where they will forever remain young and continue to do jack all.

I hope some fans out there don't get the wrong idea what I'm about to say I will admit That Dragon Ball Daima visually an artistically look way better than Dragon Ball Super ever did even though I'm not a fan of turning all the characters in To Children again but I guess when you consider the main character of the franchise Goku they gave the mind of a child in Dragon Ball Super hopefully it can only be improved from here And it does somewhat look interesting but still to me it still is clearly following the same path that's some fans hated about GT by reverting Goku back to a kid the only difference is everyone including Goku is reverted back to a kid so I just wonder how Die Hard Friends of the franchise are going to react To Dragon Ball Daima when it's clearly a concept of GT in many ways because they can't necessarily say that GT was all that bad when Daima is clearly walking in the footsteps of GT just with little subtle differences. But more importantly will die hard fans of Dragon Ball and I'm not meaning disrespect by this consider Dragon Ball Daima non-canon considering that the main creator Akira Toriyama is no longer with us because I know that GT haters label GT as non-canon even though I consider GT Canon because the main Creator Akira Toriyama did have something to do with the creation of GT. But clearly moving forward with Dragon Ball would absolutely make it non-canon for anything to come out now would it not.

DBS was such a train wreck it's impossible to be worse that it. And from what I've read, Daima has a lot of interesting cast choices and a great team behind it. Would be nice not to have another teen titans situation.
